Considering its all over the internet and in the papers it should have been sorted today. do you reckon they are reading these sites and know what we all saying. Until we get the email it's still fun hoping. If we get ours our current tv will go to the home where MIL lives. They got a stupid small one in the corner of a large room that half the residents cant see.
I can't imagine any worried faces - the T&Cs are clear.0 -

Ajay Kavan, marketing and strategy director of Homebase said, "This award is the result of a team of 19,000 people working together to make Homebase a better place to shop. Over the last couple of years, we've made huge improvements for our customers in areas like customer service, availability, new ranges, promotions and advertising. As we continue in our efforts to improve our customer experience, it feels good to receive this recognition from our customers."

at least once a month mabey more on this site we find a great deal and we all jump on the bandwagon trying to get the deal me included. some go silly and order loads others would be happy with the one.. Most of these great deals turn out to be mistakes on the companys behalf and low and behold they withdraw the offer and everyone starts moaning because they didnt get the deal.. some companys like the yves rocher honoured there mistake eventually and we all got our freebies with our orders but mostly we wont get the great deal so why does everyone start with the is this legal can they do that etc etc etc and it goes on and on and on.. accept the fact it aint gonna happen and move on the the next big deal that might or might not happen..Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear

If their T&Cs are so clear, then why have they consulted their solicitors?0 -

I wondered over when I saw how many people were posting here to see what all the fuss was about. I'll leave you alone now :wave:0 -

When you ordered this TV, you had to agree to the terms and conditions set out by the company. These are very clear, and make it very plain that you are not entitled to this TV.
2.3 Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on despatch to you of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it
Untill they send you out the TV, they have not accepted your order.
4.2 The price you pay is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order apart from the following exception
While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
You have all agreed to these terms. Now the shop is trying to apply them you are trying to say they are out of order. These terms make very clear that you are not entitled to this.
No judge is going to decide in your favour. This has been tested in court already, and a precedent has been set over mispriced items.
The precedent on this issue was set by Hartog v Colin and Shields in which there was a pricing error where the seller thought he was pricing per pound, but the cost was actually calculated per item. The Court held that purchaser could not reasonably have supposed that the offer expressed the real intention of the persons making it, and must have known it was a mistake. The purchaser therefore did not, by his acceptance of the offer, make a binding contract with the seller. This would therefore give an on-line retailer a defence if the price of a product was so ludicrously low that the intention to create legal relations could not be formed. It is on this point which Argos had a particularly strong argument.
Basically, because the price was obviously an error. When you ordered you did not make a binding contract with the shop.
notice no-one tried to flame you for this one Rex...
I cannot believe people are getting so upset about such an obvious mis-priceEx forum ambassador

I am so sorry Mr gizmoleeds.0 -
This is going to be even more funny if anyone actually tries to pursue this.
The next thread title in line with this offer will be. No TV for 49P and £100s out of pocket in solicitor/court fees. ROFLMAOHow many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
