(((((hugs))))) smokybabe-as the others have already said, little steps. You're really strong-but remember you're also human and tears are a release-I wish we could all just come and give you the biggest hug and more support-we are all here though if and when you need us. Stay strong and try to rest and look after yourself.

  • ((((((((((smokey))))))))) I am just echoing what the others have said - you are only human, and of course your emotions will be all over the place. There will be sadness, and anger, and pain - give yourself time & space to feel them..... You are doing so very well coping with everything.
    Take care.

    Huge (((((Hugs))))) Smokey

Not the same I know but I still have a blanket from my Mum and Dads house, I keep it wrapped up in a poly bag and get it out only when I am feeling very down and take a big sniff of "Home" when I need it. Maybe you could do the same with Erics coat?

    Big hugs for you Smoky.

If I could take away your pain, I gladly would. The love you shared with Eric will transcend any amount of pain. Be assured that one day, you will rejoice in the memory of that love but for now, take whatever time you need.

Smoky...I echo what others have said about small steps...you have done some of the clothes...as catzine says, think about keeping the coat and smell....I still smell my father when I go into his workshop and it helps. It will be time to do more when you are ready...its been such a short time.

We are all here for you if and when you need a shoulder to cry on or an ear to shout at...use us.

Much love to you and your children

Smoky, sending you huge ((((HUGS))))and wishing I could be there to hug you properly. We all think of you so much every day.

When my friend's husband died, after a while she started wearing a couple of his sweatshirts and found it very comforting. Just a thought.
