Good Morning
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Master Kyle
(((Smokey)))
Bright here at the moment, really hope it stays dry as we are off the Adventure Island courtesy of Mr T today, the forcast is for heavy showers so will take my rain coat. This is DS' last day off, DD has tomorrow as well. DS will be depressed later.
We are having Maccy D's when we are out so may just be something on toast for tea tonight.
Will be popping into my mums on the way home as its my stepdads birthday tomorrow and they do live on the way home.
Oh wel best be off, have a great day.

Hi JET - bless you for asking after me! I thought everyone would be relieved that I wasn't waffling on in my usual fashion! Seriously, though, since the 'squares' thread started, and took off like a rocket I'm pleased to say, I've been spending most of my MSE time on there. I'll always be on the OS though - I depend on it to keep me sane. We've almost reached our target of squares and will be starting a new challenge soon which I don't think will need as much organising. The squares have needed co-ordinating to get them all in one place for sewing up (thanks to Lainey Stardust and Artystitches for their invaluable help!); now that I think about it it was really ambitious but we have pulled it off thanks to a fantastic group of dedicated knitters and crocheters! It was sort of made up as we went along but was a great learning curve and now we will be much more organised.
See what you've done, Jet? I'm waffling! I love this thread and will get back to posting more waffle and more often, now. I also eavesdrop on the Shabby Chic thread - which is great, and the Simplifying Life one, but I daren't join because I'd never get any work done! As it is, my kitchen was in dire need of cleaning which I finally dragged myself, kicking and screaming, away from MSE to do on Saturday and I've just reorganised all my wool which looked like spaghetti junction all over the spare room floor. I've managed to keep my paid work going - not easy when you work from home and temptation is all around (especially on here!) but the house needs a bit more attention than it's been getting.
I have read the thread every day but at about 90 miles an hour and I know I've missed loads of news but hope to catch up soon.
Happy Birthday Master Kyle
Splodge - contrats on the new addition to the family!
CHARLIESMUM - hope you feel better soon.
I hope all the insomniacs get a good night's sleep tonight!
Well, I'm off to put the kettle on - need some caffeine to get me up and running! Will pop in later.
Have a great day everyone!

WM on here and having first cup of tea. Weather looks mixed but hope to hang out washing.
Walking dogs down town to collect car soon as DD and I went for a nice Sunday lunch yesterday and walked back as I had 2 glasses of wine. Very good it was too. Had a lazy afternoon afterwards.
Slept well last night which was lovely. I'm back at work this Wed so hope to get decent sleeps!
Charity shop to go to today with some more stuff from loft. Seems never ending but actually I think the end is in sight! I have boxes of my dad's camera equipment to sort and sell but after that, the loft will be more or less clear. Whew. I hate being swamped with clutter and stuff.
Tea is a veg pasta concoction from our lovely veggie box. OH comes back today so he will have HM spag bol from the freezer.
Hope everyone has a good day and that the sun shines for you all

Good Morning
Happy Birthday to Master Kyle
pipkin71 My very many sympathies on having to do yhe LEA report - I HATE doing them, our LEA haven't contacted us for over 18 months so I am expecting to have to do one again any time soon
Not much planned for today. Got to get several loaves of bread made and in the freezer to pull out when needed during the week, also got several house plants that need potting up - the most in need being a huge yukka that leaps at you with all its prickly, spiney-ness if you go within a foot of it as it is so top-heavy!
Aim to get up to the allotment again this afternoon - I still have half the plot to dig, but the other half is now full of potatoes and onions.
Have a good day everyone, hugs to all who need/want them.0 -
Morning all
Hugs to Smokey.
It took me ages to get to sleep last night, I'm still seething about my Ex Oh, thanks for all the kind messages on yesterdays thread.
Rzl, I firmly believe that every ill you do will be returned to you 3 times, otherwise I probably would have tried to get revenge by now, unfortunately he seems to be slow getting his comeuppance. Still the only person hurt by me brooding is me, so I will try to regain my normally positive attitude. This was not made any easier today as hubby's train was cancelled, so by 6 this morning I was doing a 60 mile round trip to get hubby to work, this is always a dangerous exercise as I don't really wake up til after my 2nd cuppa & we had to do the journey with only 1 cuppa inside me. The positive side to this was that I did see some beautiful primroses along a stretch od M4 embankment.
I'm now going to put some books on Amazon, that hubby's friend has given us.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Hester

Morning everybody :hello:
Hope most are well, and wishing a speedy recovery to those who are not. Also a very happy birthday to master kyle
Might go to the gym later - if I do, it will be an Aqua Circuit class after work. Will take my cossie with me anyway. Might just wait until tomorrow and do a lunchtime class instead (I could have done Aqua Aerobics this lunchtime, but I don't really like the teaching style of the instructor who takes the Monday lunchtime class).
Need to have a look at the timer on my boiler later on - it heats up overnight, but seems to be doing it a bit later than it should, so it's still bubbling away when I get up in the morning. I imagine that basically it just needs its clock putting forward - but I've never touched it since I moved in nearly 18 months ago - I never noticed the problem last summer... I got to thinking about how it's set up when I realised I couldn't get the washing up water beyond lukewarm last night.
Making a batch of beef curry this evening thanks to Stephen Leak's recipe on the 65p curry thread (just goes to show that something good can come out of a thread started by studentphil) The quantity serves 2, but I'm factoring it up to serve 5 - cos that's how much beef I've got
Off to work now - hugs if you need them
Just saw your post, PenPen - was the baritone soloist worth having certain images in your mind?Glad it went well :j So, did my little synopsis aid your understanding of the piece as a sequence?
