Hi to Jussy:hello:
Had to edit my post as my keyboard appears to have developed a "stutter!"
Just got back from unpacking a load of shopping from Lidl.
Tea will be new potatoes, green beans with garlic and home made spicy chicken (thighs are £2 at Lidl).
DH can have mackerel instead of chicken.
Red lentils are soaking so I can make either lentil soup or lentil curry tomorrow and I got a large pot of natural yoghurt so I can have fruit and yoghurt if I get peckish or else some crispbread rather than being tempted by biscuits and crisps.
Have decided not to weigh myself as it becomes a real stress but just to keep eating sensibly and keep trying to get into my smaller trousers.
Have put some grapes into the freezer so if I am desperate for something sweet I can gnaw on frozen grapes!"This site is addictive!"

Hiya! :hello:
Hope everyone is healthy and happy. Hugs to those who aren't.
Rose-tinted Don't be so hard on yourself, you are very brave writing an essay so soon after giving birth. My brain went all mushy after pregnancy and it took me about 6 months to get back to normal, although I'm probably still missing a few brain cells.:rotfl:
Catowen Hope your results were good.
The girls are both at after school clubs so I've got a bit of extra time today. I did a lot of running around today including trips to the tip, bank, post office and Tescos. Some of Tesco's value stuff is pretty good and DH and the kids seem to be enjoying the value NAS lemon squash at the moment. It's also double concentrated so you get double the squash.
Since then I've sorted out the fridge and cupboards and the finances. I've also been pricing domestic flights to Sydney for our Oz holiday. Expedia quoted £400 each for Perth to Sydney  but then I found an Aussie site and they are quoting around £150 each. :j What a difference!
Tonight's tea is lamb stew using yesterday's leftover meat, which has been simmering away in the sc with crusty bread and hm banana cake.
Have a good evening.:D0 -
Afternoon all :hello:
Happy Birthday to all who's birthday it is today, I won't try and name everyone cos I'll only forget somebody:bdaycake:
I'm just browsing round and not doing much in the house as I'm not well again
Back to the hospital next month for tests, they cancelled them last month as the surgeon wasn't well. I suppose they are allowed to be sick sometimes too.
Tea tonight will probably be from the take away as I can't be bothered to cook, but I will drag myself up and make a big pot of Irish stew for tomorrow night.
Work today was a disaster, I lifted the wrong file for this week and did half of next Monday's work before I caught it on  Ah well, it means that next Monday will be a lot easier, just means I have more to do tomorrow to catch up!
Haribo, I hope you're behaving yourself while you are on holidays over here. Pink - any problems give me a shout and I'll come down and sort her out:D
:grouphug: to smoky, Martyn and anyone else who needs one.
See you all later

Afternoon all
Just got back from London after taking my mum to a hospital appointment. Actually found a disabled parking space for the first time as she suffers from lung cancer and is now in a wheelchair so it makes things difficult when you cant park your car anywhere near the hospital!! Am playing catch up now. Bought some yellow stickered thai chicken in M&S the weekend so will be having that for tea tonight.
Happy birthday to all the littlies who are celebrating today (and to my daughter-in-law too, she's not a little un as she is 6 months pregnant;))
Rmac Saw the Masai warriors on tv and in the paper. They completed the marathon didnt they, except one of them had to be taken to hospital. Hope he is ok. They did really well and so did your friend publicising them!!

Had a busy day, tidied through whole house hovered and moped floors, cleaned kitchen and bathroom. We have a tiny hallway which always gets to cluttered with coats boots and shoes, so much so that you can't move in there, so I have again cleared it out and tonight im gonna do a Tru on them, why are men and children incapeable of tidying up after themselves  .
Then walked dog up the beach, which was freezing, but beatiful, untill the hail stones started, cue me and dog running like mad to the car and DD walking cos running is not cool  we got soaked, still it was invigorating.
The pork for tea is nearly done, the spuds and roast squash are in, just cabbage and brocoli to do, yum I am really hungry.

Rzl - I remember being a hostess at the Masterprize competition back in '98 and nearly collapsing when Daniel Harding walked past me. He was young and good looking, which to a then 19yr old was positively marriage material. :rotfl:
Right, better go and mark loads and loads of books......
