Primus seem to have sorted things out and got their act together, I have just received this months bill and all has been corrected with credits for the overcharges in the last couple of months, and I have actually ended up in credit this month.

Just wanted to bump up this thread as I have just had my bill and have been charged for all the evening calls between 60 and 90 mins long. Time to make a phone call...

Edit: Just phoned and they are going to refund it. They "hope" to have the issue resolved before I get my next bill.

Had a E-Bill from them yesterday saying i owed them £3.49 for last month, but i left them in February 08. Spoke to them and they agreed to cancel it,they blamed Human Error.

Looks like billing is still a tad flaky
  • Billing still awful, after 4 phone calls last month, an email that i still haven't had a reply to, that i sent on the 4th May, i have been overcharged again, even though i was assured that they would sort out my bill, and actually get charged what my package is supposed to be!

How hard can it be for them, to charge a customer on a package that costs £29.99, of which there is no chargeable calls on it, the correct price, not once, but twice, especially after 4 calls and an email, telling them to get it sorted.

To be honest, i'm getting a bit fed up with it all now, especially since they also, seem to be billing whenever they feel like it, the last bill was issued on the 4th May, and here is a new one dated the 28th May, not very funny, when you are on a tight budget, and Primus can't seem to stick to a particular billing date.

Every other direct debit i have, uses a fixed date every month, what makes this lot so special?

Here we go, in the morning, with another phone call of complaint.

Been overcharged here again with the newest bill that came out yesterday. Luckily we've now left them but they will have to correct this as we don't owe them anything

My recent bill was, Total Balance of Account £0.06

So even if it is wrong I don't care.

But I think it is about right anyway.

If you do stray over the 90 minutes on Primus what do you get charged? Is the whole call charged or just the excess over the 90 minutes - and at what rate?
  • Hmm and here is me thinking my dialler hasn't been working properly. Lately I have been having to pay money to Primus, bearing in mind, I'm on free evening and weekend calls and have other calls directed via the dialler.

Think i'll look into this further.

1p per minute for the minutes over the free 90 minutes.
Inclusive calls are capped at 90 minutes and are then 1p per minute thereafter
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
