  • This is a total con- they are sooo too good to be true.

They have now gone into administration, won't pay anyone cashback- and leave you high and dry with regard to your contract. I appear to be tied in and can't get out of it!!

Any help would be appreciated if you know what to do to find a better deal, or get out of the one I'm in- I'm so annoyed. If it looks too good to be true- it is too good to be true!
  • Apologies- I've just registered, and now realise that I hadn't read the full thread- the post reply button was at the bottom of the first page, and we're now on 35 (sorry). Oh well- looks like we're all in the same boat!

Sorry to dig this thread up from beyond the grave, but just had an email last week from the administrators of phoneboxdirect, indicating that they are ready to hand some money out...

Was so long ago that all this business kicked off, I had to go deep into my files to find out what phone and contract it was for!! Has anybody got anything to add, e.g. timescales, amounts that we might get, etc?

does it mean to vote for their release so they can pay my dividend?

i just noticed their website said they willl give 3p for every £1 pound owed . but i did not receive this email ? but when i logged into my mazars llp account today it shows up my £420 cash back owed claim as well as my bank bacs details . so how do i know if i am registered and validated as a creditor ?

    my original cash back was £420 . so 420 * 3p = £12.60 . so i am going to get £12.60 back ?!?!?!?!

I presume if your bank details are stored in their records then you'll get back your £12.60 before the end of November.

Not sure what the voting is about but they say it's a formality.

I'll be getting back £12.60 too - i'm almost pleasantly surprised because i'd written off the £420 long ago!

so do you know which i should be voting for . the way i understood it is to vote no is because i do not agree with the three pence to every one pound owed dividend . so i did not want to release the liquidator as i am not happy with the value of the dividend right ??

:jjumping for joy , got the grand total of £11.03 paid by bacs today.
  • Got my £12.60 cheque today.

cv65user, there's not much point in telling them you don't agree with it - there isn't any more money to share round!

Got my cash too credited to my account, been looking forward to this for a long time. LOL... better than a kick up the !!!! I suppose.
  • Strange, i've been sent a second cheque for £12.60. I wonder if this is a clerical error.
