How long have people been waiting for their intial cash back? PBD recieved my first claim 4th July, I've since had their 'progress' updates the last one 26th August stating that my cheque should be sent out within the next 10 working days. 13 days working have passed and I don't have my cheque. Is this normal practice from them, or should I start to worry. Afterall it's been over 70 days since they recieved my claim...
well...i have a contact with (PBD, TMO) and they seem to pay your first cashback payment in a reasonable time and then they start to get worse by every paymnt you make.. for example i got my first payment in like 40 days then the y second in 54 days and then 64 and then 73 and it went on to 90 ...
evan though they send you e-mails on progress of your claim but that dont help at all its just buys them som extra time i guess rather then pple raining them up for updates on their claims they just send them e-mail to kinda calm them down..If electricty comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?0 -
Thankyou for everyone's help0

when i signed up to PBD they said a cashback claim would take 28 business days, then they later changed it to 45 days...are they allowed to just change it like that? surely we had a deal... or is that a loophole in the t & cs?0

"insurgente" when did you buy your contract ?
when did you 30 days in their T&Cs, because i got a contact with them too and i bought mine in Augest 2006 .. for my 5th claim its been 29 days and they sent me an e-mail today saying that they received the claim and is sent to the processing department..If electricty comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?0 -
i got mine in september 2006 so a similar story...originally it was 28 business days and i think they arrived in that time...then it changed to 45 days cos they were so ''busy''. now it looks like i wont get my 4th and 5th instalments cos they're !!!!!!s0

I recieved my cheque today, dated 12 September. It appears that you have to prompt PBD with an email befire they send a cheque out.
I'm just waiting for the 'missing page' scam from them..... I have photo and video recorded evidence of every page sent and the enevelope being sealed.0 -
My story is probably not a lot different from most- I've been on cashbacks from them (Phonebox Direct/MMS) for nearly 4 years now and have noticed how slow not only their payments are but how slow their communications are.
On my current contract, my 8th bill dated 23rd July (3rd claim of 5) was sent to them in early August (5th) in first class post. I didn't receive the 'claim received' e mail until 5th September, but wasn't too concerned because they've been that late with all my recent claims. Today I get a letter saying I'd made a 'Late Claim' with a note at the bottom saying my 23rd July bill needed to have been received by August 23rd, it was received August 24th.
What a con! Just open the claims, hold off datestamping them (Their apparent 'proof' of when they got them) until the day AFTER the claim expires and then turn the claims down.
OK, looking back now, this claim did go off later than I've ever sent one before, but it's summer for God's sake- I was on holiday when the bill arrived, so what am I supposed to do?? The bill still went off with almost 3 weeks of the claim period left. I guess the only way around them conning you like this is to send your claims in by recored or 'signed for' delivery- but then again, they'd probably just refuse to sign for them. I guess from their T&C's that because this claim has been refused, that it's pointless making the last two??
So, just to repeat- anyone doing anything legally or reporting them to Watchdog, trading standards at all? I'd like to get involved if so.0 -
Deadwing,
Check out the Cool New Mobile thread.

I called PBD to change my address and was told that my claims have been made void as I did not sent them my full bill and had only sent them the first page and my tarrif page was missing.
This was a lie told to me as I carefully read all the T&C and send correct bills all the time. This was my 3rd claim and have successfully received my previous claims from them and other companies like TheLink and e2save...
I remember that I have sent the correct bills and the CS rep would just not agree with me and would just stay quite.
Please help me, I know CB Deals are risky and I always do them accurately and this time around they are playing games with me.
What steps can I take to prove myself. I also send RM special delivery every time so that my docs reach on time and can be tracked.
All help and advise is highly appreciated.
Many thanks!
