    Good morning!:hello:

May make a brief trip to Ikea (is it POSSIBLE to make a quick trip to Ikea?:D )

    ivyleaf xx

No. No it isn't. The quickest I have done IKEA in is 5 hours (inc. lunch). Mind you, we do live almost 300 miles away so our visits are few and far between.

    Welcome dee

Well, I am cracking on with cleaning the office. Just dusted OHs desk, but yet again I didn't bother taking my allergy tabs before doing so, so now I'm all yuck. Why do I do it every time????

Hm. I just put hash browns in the oven but they smell like cake. I should probably go and check them out.

Edit: Do you think my OH will notice if I go and collect another cat (off Freecycle)? :)

    Hi all !
After a frantic afternoon yesterday searching for mislaid cordless phone I have now given up on it and can only assume I went a bit over the top with my de-cluttering yesterday and...........well, de-cluttered it !! Still, we've got the kitchen wall phone so we're not without but it fair wore me out. Got in a right panic state I did.............all over a phone !! How daft is that !
Today is another day..............couldnt care less about the phone and spent the morning making birthday cards -one mine and one on behalf of my Mum, for her friends niece -she's been really good to Mum. Tried to find a half decent pressie yesterday for her but no luck. Our town is very limited really so, I found a gift wrapped box of soaps among my collection of charity shop finds I'm hoarding for gift baskets and a lovely book I bought and I just know will never get to read - all about domestic service in Victorian times -she'll love it I know and won't be expecting anything at all.

Builder came at long last to look at the roof - 4 weeks now I've been trying to find one -they're always going to call and never do. This one scratched his head a bit, probed around in the loft (went off leaving the loft hatch open !)
Ex foster lad is coming up later to give me a hand with a bit more de-cluttering so he can shut it for me.
Best get these cards written and pressies wrapped before he gets here otherwise they'll end up being de-cluttered as well...................lol

Have a good day and hugs ((((((((((:o )))))))))) to those who need them

    Afternoon everyone.

I have had a busy morning, washing put on the line, brought in cause it was dry. Smells lovely but now needs ironing! Have completely gutted out and rearranged my front room, took a few hours! BM has been on and enjoyed for lunch - hmm warm bread!

Garage has had a tidy getting rid of all the boxes I keep to repack things in when I move - have decided cause the 'packers' do it all why bother?

All this has been spurred by the fact I have been told I will be moving house/job/location in August and am trying to get organised. Need to get rid of loads of clothes - a few trips to the local charity shops I think??

Hugs to all those in need, special mentions to Smoky, Benthosboy and Lyndsayann.

Happy birthday to all those who are celebrating, it's mine on Sunday and I will probably make my own cake - again cause that way I know I will get one! With it being just DS and me there is no-one else to make it!!!

    Have a great day all.

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday in advance for Sunday Suesy sue!

Well I found the cat in the nick of time, got her into the carrier , meowing and complaining, into the car and still got to the vets 5 mins early! She now has to go in next week for a small op to extract a couple of teeth, she is 15 years old now and her teeth have never been great, still going to cost us £390  as she is not insured, long story - she was but the firm went broke and by then she was too old for cover!
I love her dearly though so we will just have to pull in our belts again.

Mr catz:cool: is going to take me into town this afternoon (after he has rested) and is treating me to some new clothes, I normally buy from the charity shops but need something tidy for his graduation, Will be posting another square while we are out.

Not a lot of old styling going on here today though! :o

Jayward that was a great result on the insurance quote! :T

    :hello: Hello Dee!

    Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all having a good day. I was really happy this morning as my new washing machine has been delivered, installed and old one and rubbish taken away:D . It sounds really sad being happy with getting a new WM, but you do not appreciate how much you use it.
Otherwise, I've been cooking [strike]burning[/strike] tea, which includes a rolled joint of lamb, a pack of Asda roast potatoes in goose fat and thyme and a pack of fresh carrots and cauliflower (all yellow sticker items). Followed by HM rice pudding.
Must go now as need to get ready to pick up DS from school.

just rescued the washing, it was dry and a quick shower when over. ive put a load of washing under the extention

got a lemon drizzle cake in the oven - not sure how lemony or drizzly it will be as i only had one lemon to zest but i had a jif in the fridge so managed to make it with 1/2 the quantity of zest and juice i needed.

not planned tea yet, but will have a rummage through the freezer/fridge once ive picked ds up from school.

DSs seeds are doing well he planted the cress is going great guns and the lettuce and sweetcorn are sprouting well. the monkey nuts are just peeking through will be interesting to see how they work out am i right in thinking they are like apotato plant and the nuts grow underground?

got some compost and little trays so will get some fennel going in the kitchen window
