    I joined these crooked rats last month, read awful things about them on here, then cancelled 10days later.

    They deliberately make it difficult to cancel, saying you can only do so on line, they then (i find in most cases) claim to have not received your last DVD (potential Royal Mail fraud going on here?) you send them your proof of posting they don't reply you think they have cancelled the account blah de blah.

    I have sent a 7 day letter stating if i hear nothing from them within this period then I will take it my account is fully closed and complete.

    I have every copy and scrap of evidence that I completed and followed every part of the contract and I am jus hoping they try to take me to court BRING IT ON! I'm waiting for you.

    I'm going to start a thread, for people to write their vents about this company (on this board) so if people do go to court, they can print it off and use it as evidence to blacken the name of these vile people.

    I really cannot understand why MSErs are PAYING these charges!!!!! That is NOT moneysaving. That's plain ridiculous. Fight these people. They cannot win!

    I had a relatively minor problem with them (wouldn't send me the free cinema tickets they promised from a free trial) compared to others on this board, but I was appalled at their customer service. It's clear they won't abide by their own T&Cs and the man on the phone was so rude you'd think I'd insulted his mother! He accused me of wanting to get into an argument with him - I very calmly told him I just wanted to understand why they wouldn't send me the tickets. He implied I was sad for trying to chase up where the free tickets were as I'd already had a good deal from them by getting four free discs! Then he kept saying 'You're not going to get the tickets', I kept asking why not, and he said they didn't have to send them to me if they didn't want to! He then said he had paying customers to deal with and hung up.

    I'm right behind any attempt at exposing what seems to be at least a shoddy & impolite and at worst a law-breaking and downright shady company.

    Unbelievable Marty!

    It shows how unprofessional an outfit MMS are! They must have staff meetings where they are instructed to rip people off and then insult them when they complain!

    I started a "Report Board for My Movie Stream Complaints" on the vent board if you are interested in posting on it Marty! We can keep one another updated with any problems.

    I haen't heard anything from my last 7 day letter (dated 31st May) where I asked them to notify me personally in writing (within 7 days) if my account was not fully closed and complete, so as far as I am concerned, legally, they have closed my account with no outstanding charges.

    well I had my recorded delivery letter returned today. However I've heard nothing from CARS (who I emailed a copy of my letter to, to explain why I wasn't paying) in over a month. Is this the calm before the storm?? Or have they really naffed off and decided to leave me alone!

  • I joined Mymoviestream two weeks ago on a two week trial with two free cineworld tickets. The three dvd's arrived and they were in pretty bad condition so i sent them back today and I was going to cancel my account. I was checking my bank and I noticed they had taken a payment out so I rang customer services and spoke to a man who said that I should have cancelled yesterday. I asked him what he could do to help me as I had just posted the dvd's back and as I was about to cancel my account I wasnt going to recieve anymore dvd's from them so I had paid for nothing. He told me that when they recieved the dvd's back in their warehouse I would be refunded.

    Then i went online and tried to cancel my account and guess what? all of the links to cancel had mysteriously disappeared. :confused: So ive taken screenshots of my account page and emailed them copies stating that as I cant close my account online I am informing them that I wish to close my account and request they either confirm that it is closed or send me instructions on how to close it myself. Anyway I am not holding my breath but i will let you all know how I get on. I will be phoning them tomorrow. And if it all goes wrong I will be joining you all in contacting watchdog.

    since i sent them a letter informing them i would sue them for equal amounts of anything they charge me, along with the charges they try and apply i've not heard a peep.

    Well I got a letter from CARS in April, they were writing to me a bit after that making threats. I wrote back to them requesting proof of a contract as their argument is that i signed a contract, no copy has been received nor a breakdown of what is owed.

    I refuse to pay this amount of £148 and i will go to court if necessary.

    Spoke to a man at my local trading standards, he has contacted them, also contacted the sunday post who contacted them on my behalf either trading standards or the sunday post have received a response. I have had two phone calls from them in the last few months basically saying you must pay, but i say prove i owe this debt then i will pay. Like the trading standards man said they need to prove i owe the debt in court and obviously they can't or they would have taken me to court by now :rotfl:
    No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one! :mad:

    I signed up then due to moving house decided i didnt want to use the service anymore so i tried to cancel my account, my card/bank details were changing aswell. I was a little annoyed that the company name had changed without my knowing, no email, nothing!! Upon trying to cancel i could not log in... Sound familiar?? I emailed them via the contact us, tried the fogot password link with no joy, didnt hear anything. I decided i would email them via the contact us page and inform them that i would be returning the dvd's and wished to cancel my account due to not being informed about the name change and the fact i no longer required the service.

    I now get an email from them most days, some days 2 or 3 emails stating my payment is overdue... upon contacting them about this i get the reply that my account is overdue by x amount, i have dvd's outstanding and that if i do not pay it will be passed onto a debt collection agency and then further to court should i still refuse to pay. Now the amount they are after is smaller that what some of you have reported but i still refuse to pay, i dont owe this money and i dont have the dvd's. They are a shocking company and somthing needs to be done about them...

    They seem to go away eventually, just register early that they have no chance.
