San Miguel 20*330ml - SEL 11.98 14.98 through till............(3 packs thank you Mr T)
Many thanks! Only brave enough to get 1 but it was refunded no problem, :T :T0 -
Colin2511 wrote:have a look at the yellow shelve edge tickets, and if the date of when the promotion has ended, take the product to the check scanner and see if the price has gone back up, i was lucky with the beer today because they are normally very good with the tickets on wines and spirits
If the Promotion date has ended, is it still a misprice. Would'nt CS kick up?Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0 -
if the shelve edge ticket is still up then it is a misprice, as customers we are not expected to look at or understand what the date is for on the ticket, as far as i was concerned the beer i got today had a price ticket saying £11.98, its not our fault if the price has since gone up0

Remember for all the bleating about this policy being voluntary it is only so to avoid prosecution for continuosly overpricing, as a bribe to ensure you don't complain to Trading Standards and they don't get blitzed, it also enables them to continue screwing the unsuspecting vast majority of their customers as has been clearly demonstrated by the endless supply of mispriced products and repeated refunds obtained at many stores. Don't let them bully you into submission, by all means walk away from the immediate confrontation if it embarrasses you or intimidates you in any way, but be sure to follow it up with an official complaint or be prepared to be ripped off in the future!
I'm sure there are Trading Standards officers up and down the country just waiting to smack a "fat boy" in the mouth.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
ben500 wrote:Let them! It matters not a jot, if the lowest price MUST be charged to avoid committing an offence, if they don't cough up its off to Trading Standards, I hope there are enough of you out there prepared to make complaints when they screw you around because it certainly looks like that is the plan that a growing number of managers are adopting now!

WELL SAID
the first time they refuse me a refund i will be straight on to trading standards, and will continue to report them every day until they do get a smack in the mouth.0 -
Perhaps a board mod could edit the original post to include links to Trading Standards and A.S.A complaints pages, I suspect they are going to be needed!Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

This strikes me as a surefire way of "killing the goose that lays the golden egg".
Why on earth would anyone want to do that and spoil it for everyone else. Surely the best thing to do is ask the offending manager if you can speak to him somewhere privately and point out to him the error of his ways and the consequences for Tesco if he doesn't. Quoting the £2,000 fines from Trading Standards and whatever it might be from the Advertising Standards Agency plus reporting this to Tesco CS in Scotland will be sufficient for him to mend his ways.
I picked up 2 packs of steak today (shelf £9.49/Kilo, Pack £10.49/Kilo) and was refunded with no problem after the girl checked.
But I would hate all this to end abruptly just because a few people on here would like to see Tesco "punished" severely. Just seems barmy to me.0 -
have now been "shoping" the moneysaving way for a few weeks, and enjoyed every bite of the free food I have had. Last time I went to the Millbook store in Southampton and found the Holy Grail, the steak at last, got two of each pack and was more than happy with my finds. while I was waiting in the Que at CS the lad there was detailing to the person ahead of me the poilicy for returns of a mobile phone in great detail with out referance to any paperwork and I must say he was word prefect. However when I tryed to expain my situation he became increadably thick and told me that that the refund would be at given only if the meat manager said it was ok. ODD really how well he understands one policy but not the other and they were posted on the same board0
