I think the time has come to call Mr T's bluff, each overprice is worth a £2000 fine per pack displayed in a store, if you get any hassle report the store to Trading Standards for price errors and also to Advertising Standards Authority for failing to comply with a nationally advertised policy, don't just threaten them do it as they are banking on people get a little loud and agitated and then walking away after making hollow protests.
The law is on your side here and it is quite clear Tesco are attempting to dissuade people from identifying price errors this could be interpreted as an intentional action to deliberately maintain price errors.
Remember there is no stipulation whatsover in their advertising matter as to how many items you may be refunded and replaced on so therefore they CANNOT put restrictions on without making it clear in the same advertising campaign!Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
I can't see how Mr T's have a leg to stand (lamb if its overpriced
), on with Trading standards if it became an issue. The dairy manager who was giving me hassle the other day was told which product was incorrect (cheese with berries, finest range). The next day they had half the shelf re-priced and half not, which resulted in me stinging them again for the same product  .
Went to a different Tesco's on same day within an hour and same product priced differently 9.95 kg in one store 9.99kg in another. Surely they have a central price database or how would the on-line shopping work, so that should never occur. Also this must be the case for a purposes of stock and inventory management.
This is the case on many of the overcharge items and I am pretty sure that Mr Trading Standard bloke would not be amused, that 1. the shelf price doesn't match the whole set on products in it  2. Different stores have the same item at the same time at a different price. 3. Mr T is trying to wriggle out of the matters even when they are aware of them.
I can't see Mr T's going to trading standard and saying someone is abusing the policy, when the retort could be well I told you yesterday, came in today and it wasn't sorted, I get similar products and they are always overcharged on a week by week basis, here are my records, it is endemic and not isolated. I can imagine that trading standards would want a pretty damn good look into it. Especially as I pointed out in an earlier mail that Tesco's use the lower of Packet and SHELF price to compare prices with ASDA, et al  , who would also be keen to know of our findings me thinks, given the lower shelf prices are being used against them.on price comparisons which result possibly in ASDA et al losing customers to Mr T's.

you do need to follow it through.
trading standards wont go in and just check 1 line.
they will do a full scan of the whole store.
with the threat of £2000 for each item, and not time prior to them coming in to sort it , they will be feeling just a little bit uncomfortable LOL
also got to remember, not only did they break the law, but they didnt honour the policy they have on the wall behind the CS desk
the Repercussions of this happening wont just be felt in the departments instore, it would go way above the store managers even.0 -
I was overcharged for 2 packs of duck breasts today. £5.89 per 1b on shelf £5.93 on the pack.Firstly the girl at CS couldn't understand why I was saying I had been overpriced as it said £4.00 on one pack and £4.64 on the other and that was what my receipt said, she was the team leader !! After I explained the policy to her which she should know as Team leader, I then had to speak to a further 3 people, and be made to feel like a criminal before I was given a full refund. I agree that we should be reporting them to trading standards, my nerves can't stand any more refunds !!0

organic brie 4 me at Leyland
thanx Mr T, very pleasant Cs staff who lead me thru the whole refund business with a smile,
she even laughed when I said I would have to keep my eyes open for more bargains
pity then that she removed the shelf price label0 -
I have been going quackers and at last today finally found my free whole ducks which were mispriced, cannot recall shelf price but they were £5.95 each, got 2 free. Also got more sirloin steak which appears to be a nationwide price error £10.98 on pack, £10.93 on shelf. £25.00 refunded, Manager was called on phone to OK it but she didn't come and check. Freezer is now at bursting point. Could really do with some mispriced choccies but haven't stumbled upon any yet !
I am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL

Think the real price for the Duck is £1.71 PKg, I got mine the other day when the SEL was £1.65 PKg.
Today I noticed just one Bacon Joint that was mis-priced.
However, "someone" had torn the label just where it says £3.34 Pkg, so anyone (non MSE'r) would have picked that up and been overcharged without knowing.
Spoke to the floor manager who looked at me as if I were nuts, then he called a manager from that dept. She said she'll get someone to check them all. I told her that during the 5+ minutes that I'd been waiting for someone to come to see me, I had check the others, and this was the only one that had been tampered with.
I was told that the item would be removed from the shop floor, and that was that.
While I was in the store, I noticed that they have marked down the "CD envelopes" (Paper envelope with a clear window) to 98p for a box of 50 - I am sure these used to be £3 or £4, so I bought half a dozen, as they come in handy when you buy CDs on a spindle.0 -
Found another CD (did a search, couldn't find it mentioned already), Jem - Finally Woken. Price on the shelf £7.97, scanned at £8.97. Very quick and hassle-free refund.
Was really happy with my find, afterall a free CD is a free CD...then I discovered one of the tracks was the theme tune to Celebrity Love Island
I might see if I can get my money back :rotfl:0 -

And also I spotted The DaVinci code at £3.73 AND £3.21 on the shelf in store. The chart books poster said £3.73, so this may be a misprice. I didn't check myself as we already have the book, but maybe worth a scan if you haven't read it yet.
I bought it for hubby. Thought £3.73 was a blummin bargain but it went through at £3.21. Thanks Tesco. Same book is £6.99 everywhere else!Working Full Time but just about make ends meet.
