WELSH-DRAGON wrote:Hiya arv2k - gosh £115 worth of steak that must have been quite a few packs. Whenever I go to CS they insist on seeing each pack and scanning them, I bet there was a queue forming behind you !!! been told that Penarth tescos will be automatically calling the manager if the refund goes over £10, but they didnt today. Also didnt realise that with the Nivea offer the staff get a discount so can actually make money on the offer and be quids in, no wonder stocks are low.
running total at £350+ now and about 20 packs of free quatro blades0 -
The free range eggs were still overpriced today a week after I told them about it. More cakes for us to bake with our freebie.
And also I spotted The DaVinci code at £3.73 AND £3.21 on the shelf in store. The chart books poster said £3.73, so this may be a misprice. I didn't check myself as we already have the book, but maybe worth a scan if you haven't read it yet.
And not a misprice, but Ben and Jerry's is currently 2 for £4. You don't need room in the freezer for this one....ours never gets that far before it's gobbled up!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Sorry to ask this, when you are already up to page 59. But where does it say that Tesco will refund and give you the product if they price it wrong?
Is there a web link?
Is there a leaflet?
I looked at page 1 of this thread and couldn't find the answer.[ Eat, Drink and be Merry - for tomorrow we get the bill ]0 -

It states it on a sign behind customer services in your local store.
It's on the bottom half and starts something like "and if we get it wrong!"
You won't see anything on page one of the thread as this is the fourth thread!Keep SmilingSite member number 24

just popped up to blackburn store, took some finding, salmon priced right, no duck, cheese priced right, all steak priced right, but, the gammon was all priced wrong!
Got two of the £8.odd ones and 2 of the £4.13 ones, then going through checkout and noticed that they scanned at the lower price, so I immediately said I didn't want the larger ones, but did pay for the smaller ones. 1st time i've had to pay for gammon at Mr Ts
Got 8 nivea tho' for £4.00.
Good hunting.0 -
Think we need to use stores with scanners, I had right priced Gammon today.
I did only buy one and will sure use it.0 -
Just done myself a thick one.
Duck breasts in Liverpool were priced wrong. And there were 3 packs of 2 on the shelf so i picked up 2. Then i bulked up with spring onions, hoi-sin sauce. so i was just looking for pancakes. So that when i went and asked for my refund it did not look to suspect.
when looking for pancakes a young lad asked could he help me.
I told him what i was looking for. he did not know, so who did he ask only the meats manager.
he came over and told me that they don't do them. but he would give me some if i wanted some. Not bad i thought.
'wait there' he said.
I waited - he came back
With a box of half a roast duck, pancakes, spring onions and sauce.
The box was bashed to bits in one corner. But he took everything out. And it was all perfect. he said i can save you a few quid. As he was looking in my basket. At my overpriced duck, that i was going for a refund on. You can have this for 35p.
See it is fine everything is there and you can put that sauce back which is over £1.
Well what could i say.
I just stood there and took the 35p duck. whilst he took the things out of my basket. i couldn't buy them now as when i would go to customer services. he as the manager would be called over.
That will teach me to keep my big gob shut next time.
Hubby says that the 35p duck is ok thought. it's in the freezer now.
Oh well some you win some you don't0 -
My first success at the Tesco store in Manchester, had a look around the misprices did'nt find any and had given up looking after several minutes and decided to do my normal shopping :-).
Was looking for fish fingers and found the young uns 8 pack with a sticker for 10p reduced from 1.49 dates also fine to dec06.
After buying 12 packs left about 10, I was charged 99p for each at checkout stayed quiet and took them to customer services the lady was shocked and spent absolutely ages checking the price.
She seemed reluctant to give a refund saying the offer of 10p was on the 10 pack of young uns and not the 8 pack though the sticker was IN FRONT of the 8 pack.
Finally got them all free!!!0 -
cousinjack wrote:Got my first Joey today from co-op in Penzance! Hooray, now off to tesco to spend it. Fingers crossed! Might pick up some more nivea while I am there (already have 8 bottles at home!)
I am really getting hooked now, have been to helston tesco and cleaned them out of joeys, had a look on meat and cheese counter-no luck! Gammon all priced wrongly but scanning correctly doh!
I love this site!! :j0 -
I thought i would try my luck in the Luton tesco today.
The whole duck and duck breasts had stickers with the correct price over the incorrect ones.
There was no steak!
2 versions of the finest cheese had stickers over the incorrect price, but the cheddar with chives version did not. I got 2 of them to get my extra 75 points
and also got the nivea.
I had to ask the checkout lady if the bogof was still on as there weren't any bogof labels, got my refund on the cheese and got 4 bottles of nivea for £2Debt £31,184.05 - DFD - Jan 2015!!!Next target - Barclaycard £1000.00/965.29PAD from 20.12.10 ~ £1318.29NSD Challenge ~ Jan 10/10, Feb 10/10, March 10/13£365 in £365 Challenge ~ £120.06Sealed Pot Challenge member #11540
