went to a different Tesco today and it reaped dividends. The Edgbaston branch had 3 different types of sirloin steaks wrongly priced. I was pleasantly surprised that the lady on the CS desk was pleasant and courteous, and happily refunded nearly £24 for the items in question.
  • Snap MrSmartprice also got the Sirloin steaks today, large and medium packs. On shelf £10.93 on pack £10.98kg. Bought 5 packs and also had £24.00 refunded for the items. Walked into the office with several carrier bags, thank goodness we have staff fridges !!!

  • Hi,After following this thread for weeks im plucking up the courage to try it out.As i don't shop at tesco could somebody tell me where i find the price scan thingy lol.
    Many thanks.
  • When I go to a new store I just ask an assistant and they show me where. I have only in the last 2 weeks tried many of the tips on here and was very nervous as I am not very assertive at times but I haven't had any problems. Shopping at Mr T's is never the same when you realise what can be achieved by a few misprices !!

    shelf price £6.69kg
some 1 beat me to the steaks and ducks :(
    some more 2 be had
  • Thanks welsh dragon, will do that ! Im in no way assertive either, so i am very nervous, but nothing ventured nothing gained i guess LOL.
  • Hiya arv2k - gosh £115 worth of steak that must have been quite a few packs. Whenever I go to CS they insist on seeing each pack and scanning them, I bet there was a queue forming behind you !!! been told that Penarth tescos will be automatically calling the manager if the refund goes over £10, but they didnt today. Also didnt realise that with the Nivea offer the staff get a discount so can actually make money on the offer and be quids in, no wonder stocks are low.

  • Hiya

Just got back from tesco. I was getting some broad beans refunded that was overcharged. Shelf 1.84 p/kg charged 4.84 p/kg.......however......

Someone in front of me was getting a book refunded that was overcharged. Didnt get a good enough look but its a gardening book. Saw the receipt when I got to the front as it was still lying on the desk and refund amount was £2.97. I will be doing my "rounds" at tesco's tonight and if I find which book it is ill report back....In the mean time look out for gardening books....lol

They have fun hiding them! In my 2 local Tesco's which have them, one is in the sauces aisle and the other is in men's clothing  . I agree, it's best to ask. Bear in mind there's a fair chance it will be broken though!

Good luck with your first refund, I found it helped to pretend I was an actress until i got use to it :D . I was very nervous at first but now it's a real buzz.
