My first go at using a Joey today, and was told by the checkout operator that they only take vouchers for items not bought, if the value of the voucher is no more than £1.

Then I went to see CS - who thought to themselves "what's he been overcharged on now"?
CS told me that if I wanted £3 off, then buy the Joey Box Set!!

I'll try a different store during the week, but what a comedown after getting 4 boxes at ASDA on BOGOF @ £1.78 each :-(
  • No we got our receipt back, with croosed through and REFUNDED for the appropriate items, else if you have a problem with any of the rest what proof do you have?

If your Tesco's has a self scan, use that because you can scan your own coupons, we spent £12.00 on shopping today, went through the self scan using joeys and other coupons and got our bill down to £1.77
  • Our self scanners don't take coupons.
    Why is that.
  • Oh and does anybody know what time tescos close today?
  • Ours closes at 4.00 boo hoo ,I will have to wait til tomorrow to get some freebies.
  • been to 2 tescos today, 1st time went with mum, 1 bought 4 nivea shower creams and 4 packs of weightwatchers cheese, cheese priced at £8.79 on pack, £8.48 on shelf, paid £10.71 at till, £3 off with razor voucher, so total now £7.71 to pay, refund on cheese £8.81, so i now have £1 more in my pocket than when i went in !!!!!
mum had 8 nivea and eggs and 4 loaves of reduced bread on BOGOF, £6.26 at till , gave her a £1.50 off olive magazine voucher ( from daily mail during the week) £4.76 to pay, the SA kept saying to mum ,"do you know you saved £16.92 in multisaves today", mum replied, yes thank you,
went into local store just now, more nivea, 4 for £2, and best of all i thought we would have a nice cake after dinner so picked up a chocolate roulade £2.99, when i got to the till i noticed it was squashed on one side so i told SA that i was going to change it, they were all squashed so when i got back to the till i asked if she could find out if they had any more, she said" oh, if you want i will just reduce it for you", i said i did begrudge paying full price as it was a bit squashed and she asked me how much it was and said "will you take it for £1", i didnt need to be asked twice and told her she was very kind and that was lovely of her to do that.
so even though i didnt find any meat today i think i have had a good one.

This is a great sport, 5 blocks of finest mature farmhouse today.

I don't even use Tesco's but when I pass I just grab 5 of one item then get it fully refunded its great shopping for free.

I think I have had about £70 worth of free shopping this week

Might go for 5 more smoked salmon tomorrow.

  • hi guys

    well this has confused me....

got some "normaL" salad bits today, and noticed Tesco sausages reduced from £1.99 to 40p, as hubby picked them up SA said put them back, I am reducing them all to 20p. So we bought 18 (at 20p), they were on offer at £1.99 BOGOF. Surprise...went through selfscan at BOGOF (only 20p price mind), ...I thought it did not work on reduced stuff at Tesco? (used lots of Joeys so bread, salad, and 18 packs of sausages cost £2.49 - BARGAIN
