  • Tesco Finest stilton this morning - £7.99 per kilo on shelf, £8.30 on pack. CS didn't even bother to check the shelf, just took my word for it, and apologised! Gave me a cash refund too although I'd paid with a card, which was handy. If only it was always that simple.

4 x Nivea shower cream went through for £2 too. Nothing else in the shop though.

Disappointing trip to Mr T's today  , used a joey :D , got my 4 nivea :D , got some razors :D , used razor coupon :D , found cd overpriced, HIP HOP CLASSICs (not really my cup of tea  , couple of okay tracks on it) got my refund, plus the difference pointed out she'd over-refunded me, CS bit miffed with having to give out refund, didn't take any notice when I told her she'd given me 17.97 not 13.97, at the end she said I understand, its gone through now so it'll have to do. :D

I can't eat CD's Mr T, my children are starving, be considerate, get someone there who is reliable (at making mistakes !) :rotfl:

Or at least misprice some decent CD's !!
  • So as said, me and Mum trotted off to see Mr T this morning for our first attempt. Mum, not a MSEr but heading that way, a bit nervous but promised her we'd simply get it all refunded and give back the producs if any prob.
RESULT = enough Nivea to last till the year 2010! (but you lose on the clubcard points as it's deducted at the till, I'm being picky I know)
Also my dad doesn't realise how "much" his special dinner of duck breast stuffed with Finest Emental cheese really cost his long-suffering OH!
At CS, first lady grabbed the cheese and duck and "I'll be right back", I offered to go with her, "That's not necessary" she curtly replied. Sounded a little dodgy, they can't change the shelf ticket that quickly can they?, but the other CS lady (very nice, and clearly knew what we were up to) said "Don't worry, if there's a difference you get a refund and the items free, (a fellow MSEr methinks)
Anyway first lady comes back, OK with cheese but turns to CS lady 2 about the duck saying that shelf ticket price refers to ones weighing between 280g-420g and "There isn't a weight in grams on this packet", I point out to her that the packet weight of 0.414kg is 414g (and dont give me that GCSE maths is too easy these days, she was in her 40's!). Nice CS lady agrees with me and Mum's pocket rattling with the change!
Mum now a convert, but has asked me to sak my fellow MSEr's for any "mistakes" in the booze aisle!

Not spotted any at Tesco yet but Asda have Martell 1ltr brandy shelf edged @ £22.87 but scanning @ £24.87 which will get you the difference refunded plus a £2 store card so effectively a £2 discount and of course you can always use some coupons to pay too!

    HTH
Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.

Together we can make a difference.
  • Thanks ben, but there is no ASDA near us unfortunately!

Got 8 bottles of Nivea shower cream for £4.

Tesco own 4x100ml bottles of apple drink the ones in the bright geen bottles that you buy for packed lunches. These are going through the till at 19p a pack. i went back and picked up 10 packs!! Other flavours still regular price though only straight apple at the 19p

Bootman are these pure apple juice?
Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves
  • Managed to get Madeleine Peyroux yesterday at Dereham store, tried to refund the difference but I politely asked for the money back and keep the cd,had to wait 15-20 mins at CS before I got both
    Tuck Fescos
  • Have just been to local Tesco's and managed to get 2 small pork joints at about £4.00 each and 1 large beef joint £6.20. I also got the last 4 Nivea Shower gels. It was the first time i managed to find anything and didn't think I would be in luck as the cheese had yellow stickers on with the new price. The c.s. lady couldn't have been more helpful mind you she could probably tell that I was new as I was beetroot colour and she could probably hear my heart thumping! BTW do they normally keep your receipt as they kept mine?
