Just got refunded for two Ciabatta loaves that should have been BOGOF and were reduced but didn't go through as BOGOF. They said it didn't apply to reduced stuff and when i pointed out that this was not displayed anywhere, they gave me the refund.

However, it now raises the issue - is the policy changing again so that BOGOF offers do not apply to reduced goods? If so, they reduced goods could actually prove more costly than fresh items on BOGOF. Just a thought.

:T Sirloin steak mispriced last night, nice guy on CS refunded no problem and offered some advice. Said next time get the lot as this is the only way Tesco might take notice, was on tip of my tongue to ask if I could go back for the rest [had removed the shelf edge ticket] but bottled out would have felt really greedy. Made a nice tea for family though. Still might just once take his advice next time. Saw lots of UNDERPRICED items as well.

Last week I got a bunch of gladioli (spelling?) reduced from £2.99 to 99p. They were on a BOGOF, I asked the Tesco "door greeter" mannie if it still applied on reduced stuff, he said he didn't think so.

On my way out he called me over and said he'd asked CS and they said BOGOF stills applies on reduced products..so I took another bunch of lovely flowers.

I guess we better pool notes on this BOGOF and reduced items policy - is this another one to vary store to store? I didn't actually believe them at my local store because there was nothing in writing anywhere but we shall see..

If the item is flashmarked "bogof" it MUST be sold bogof whether reduced or not or an offence has been commited.

This could be interesting. If you purchase multiple items which are overpriced, and they will only refund you on one of them, that means that they have committed an offence (and refused to rectify the error) in respect of every other item.

In the event of this happening I shall be beating a path to Trading Standards, and suggest that everyone else does the same.

It seems to me that Tesco may be in a hole with this, and are digging furiously.

In theory they could be able to do this if they intend to retain their refund and replace policy, so for example they would refund and replace for 1 item and refund only on the remainder but keep the product but they would have to remarket their refund and replace policy first simply changing the wording overnight would I'm sure fall foul of the law.

Oops sorry mod's only just realised this is prices and not discussion thread.

Never seen it myself but would definately report it if I did. After giving the store manager a hard time first of course!

Went into Tesco Stafford today, Weight Watchers cheese was still mispriced, but on checking the bacon joint on the price check scanner it said "please see a member of staff" so I didn't risk it even though the shelf and pack price / kg were different!!
