Not sure if this has been posted before. Bacon joints in Tesco at Broadstairs, Kent were £3.42/kilo on shelf, £3.44 on pack. There were shelf tickets missing all over the place, I think someone had got there before me - smoked salmon, beef, etc.
Anyway, the girl at customer service couldn't grasp what I was saying at all. Because the packs were just under one kilo in weight, the prices were £3.21 and £3.29. She kept saying, "but you've been charged less than £3.44, look!".
Eventually the reinforcements arrived. Paul the meat manager, or something, tried to give me half my money backWhen I pointed out the sign he folded straight away. Why don't they just do it nicely? It only makes me more determined to find more bargains!

I got two lovely unsmoked gammon joints from the Cheltenham store today. Marked on the shelf as being £5.96 each, price on joints was £6.26. The lady at customer services tried the usual 'It's been put on the wrong shelf' spiel, then when I stood firm she went to check the shelf. She came said 'oh yes, they have been marked incorrectly, I'll refund the difference if that's alright with you?' Needless to say, I pointed out the big sign stating their refund policy, and she then said that as a gesture of goodwill, she would fully refund one of the joints and give me the difference on the other. I laughed out loud at this and she eventually refunded both, but not without lots of tutting and glaring.
Whilst she was refunding me, the little old lady in the queue behind me asked if I would mind checking her receipt for her, because she'd also bought some gammon, and would I see if it was the right price? (She was queuing because her strawberries hadn't gone through the till at the reduced price). Sure enough, the same thing had happened to her, and she didn't know about the refund and keep policy, so I stood with her to make sure she got her money back.
Exit one very unpopular - but very happy - customer!0 -

hi Echo - I''m not living in Grimsby now, but lived there until I was 18, don't even think the Tesco was built when I lived there - shopped with my Mum at Jackson Grandways (think now a Presto?!). I had to give my address both times at the Fleetsbridge Poole store (2 duck, 2 gammon, then 3 steak yesterday), but not when I got the brie from Tower Park Poole store - she couldn't wait to get rid of me as she threw the money across the CS desk!! Think I might have to go back to Fleetsbridge in disguise if I want to get more, or make sure the woman who recognised it isn't there!!!!
I'm very quickly becoming addicted to this........first 2 days and nearly 60 pounds worth of freebies......I keep getting this urge to go up and have a look - just in case I can find something!!!!!!"Stay Wonky":D

I really must look again. I had such a bad exprerience before that I haven't looked since. Have had freebies that were reduced and not going through the till reduced but apart from that. Must start nosing again. Could do with a couple of chickens. I wonder if the corn-fed ones are still mispriced?3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

I don't see why people need worry what CS think even if you go every day, OK you may feel you are doing something wrong but you are not.
It is them that are in the wrong as I see it, so if they kick up a fuss just don't get mad and like another MSE member said tell them you will be back tomorrow with trading standards and you are going to point out any errors you see.
My guess is they will back off and give you the stuff as per policy.
Would take a very brave CS person or manager to send you out the store knowing you will be back with trading standards, don't think they would have a job for very long, having known and let you go and do it.0
