Well I am interested in film comps, I don't want to have to sign up to another thread but I guess it's necessary now so I have done it. Heather, are you going to move the film comp posts from codes to the new thread?Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0 -
I fully agree with Linguistic Chimp, even though I very rarely get any free previews these days, by any methods.
So what if comps are mainly for London, I would estimate that 80% of all previews are, but it doesn't stop the rest of us getting our pathetic hopes up every time we see a new posting on the thread.
If you are going to have a new thread for every different method, then presumably you will set a new one up for when magazines/newspapers offer preview tickets involving you going to the cinemas with a page/voucher beforehand to get a ticket handed to you. I have had several previews as a result of this method. But, this does not involve a code either, so therefore those posting presumably from now on will not appear on the 'code only' thread, nor for that matter on the competition thread - but we shall have to check out the newspaper and magazine threads as well!!
Therefore to save some people checking the preview thread and wasting their time when a competition is posted they are not interested in, everyone now has to check out 4 threads to try and find any preview tickets. Logic does not compute !!0 -

There will not be a thread for every method, there is a thread for freebies in the freebies forum and a thread for competitions in the competitions forum
No one said anything about magazines or newspapers having a new thread for those as that is a freebie.
A lot of people wanted the competitions to move to the competitions board which is what has now happened. This is to make it easier to find an actual free screening instead of a competition to win ticketsI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.

...............
I know a lot of MSEers that would disagree .....
... claiming it is NOT FREE IF you have to BUY the newspaper/magazine to take a coupon or page to the box office ......
Personally this doesn't bother me.
As for the Competitions ?
I'd have preferred for them to stay where they were !!!

Just a little heads up guys & girls!
Look out for 2 separate days of previews for Hell Boy 2.
And 1 for The Dutchess (this is different to the offer already posted in the ticket only thread).
EDIT : Made an error with the information on Hell Boy 2. It's only on one day but 2 different sources of tickets. The more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.

In celebration of this release, Empire readers will have the chance to see Elegy (Cert. 15) before the film is released in cinemas.
Elegy charts the passionate relationship between a celebrated college professor and a young woman whose beauty both ravishes and destabilizes him. As their intimate connection transforms them, a charged sexual contest evolves into an indelible love story.
Starring Oscar®-nominee Penelope Cruz and Academy Award®-winner Ben Kingsley, with extraordinary supporting performances from Dennis Hopper, Patricia Clarkson and Peter Sarsgaard, Elegy is based on Pulitzer Prize-winner Philip Roth’s short novel The Dying Animal. The film is directed by Isabel Coixet.
