Just back from Baby Mama in Leeds, which was fairly busy, and in one of the larger screens.

I'd give it a 7.5/10 - I enjoyed it, but there was not that much laughter in the cinema really.
  • I arrived at Lothian Road early, thought I could see Mamma Mia free as according to email Baby Mama was not being shown there but only at Wester Hailes.

Was told by Lothian Road a bit of a mix up:mad:

After SFF sent out change of venue email they realised they would be able to screen it!! So it was to be screened in both venues!!

Dont know if anyone made it out to WH. But after farce last week at WH with Angus Thongs there was no way I would have gone there again!

Cinema about 45-50% full so a lot of people must have gone to WH or not gone at all.

Such a pity as Great film. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Steve Martin, so funny as were the two girls and the doorman.:D
9 out of 10 for me

Just got back from the Manchester screening, read the synopsis din't think it sounded great but thought what the hell. Was maybe 70% full, thought the film was pretty funny, nicely written and not as cheesey as I thought it would be, OH hates girlie films but caught him chuckling along severla times, all in all pretty good, maybe 8/10?

  • Back from Wimbledon - reasonably full and a number of late comers!!!

Didn't expect too much as I assumed that most of the best bits were probably shown on th TV adverts but I was wrong. A thoroughly enjoyable film but not sure that I would have paid to see it but that is what is great about the screenings - you usually get to see things you wouldn't normally opt for.

Overall we averaged out at 8/10 for this one.

I was at Wimbledon too. I thought the film was very funny, and entertaining. I too would not have paid to see it, but would give it a 7/10 . :j

Cinema was about 50% full I guess.

Film funny in parts but a lot of overacting by the surrogate. I almost didnt recognise Steve Martin though - he was sooo funny!

    I would give it 7/10.
  • I know this is chat - sorry all - but I wanted to protest the need for this separate thread for film competitions...I am just interested in getting film tickets, no matter how or why and don't wish to have to sign up to and receive messages from different boards.

Why not just rename this thread to include film competitions?

Also, if you are going to post a message like that, please put a link in the message to the stick you are talking about. It's a pain enough having to now sign up to another list, without actually having to spend time trying to find it.

Well, I am not interested in competitions- for a start they are almost always in London, with little chance of winning anything. If the codes are in my area of Scotland I usually get tickets. This thread is for cinema CODES only, not any competitions I'll delete this shortly

There was a link to the thread, please read the post again :)

A lot of people have suggested this idea and it helps keep the comps separate from the freebies.
