Free Cinema Tickets - Discussion thread

I hope the film promoters etc who organise these free preview showing take note of the turn-outs you guys are reporting.
I have had a couple of years of very enjoyable free viewings thanks the the MSE code thread, but this year has been dire.
The only free screening in the past few months has been Donkey punch, which I don't want to go to, and usually only go if I can take ds - so no way suitable for him.
There has been nothing at all at any cinema within a 25-30 mile radius, so not exactly going to be free.
I have a Vue and Odeon within 4 miles, but they never come up on the locations on offer, so hopefully if there is such pathetic turnouts they may be re-instated on the free pre-view circuit.
Here's hoping.
DS has a huge list of films he wants to see over the summer, and it is costing me a fortune already.
I have paid to take him to Iron man, the New Indiana movie, and Narnia to name but a few.
He want to see Incredible Hulk and Po, and there are loads more we see on the preview that I know will be right up his street. Even he has got to asking why we don't go to Free Pre-viewings anymore !!0 -
Dont know how to do quotes sorry, but re my earlier post -
emailed SFF and they have very kindly said they will send out two cinema tickets to see any film
Well done SFFMember No. 18 of the "104 free previews in 2008" club!19 down 85 to go0 -
I think if it is competition for 300 tickets than OK.
However sometime we see comp for 2 tickets alerting whole nation.
Now please stop chatting in tickets thread this is worse than the posted competition.0 -
Yes, can we PLEASE not go back to having endless debate about competitions vs. no competitions over in the tickets thread
! Have it here instead!
p.s. Perhaps we should start a seperate thread for the discussion of whether or not to include competitions on the free tickets pagelol

I never usually come on here for discussion (sorry I just don't have the time) However I have no problem with Tickets via competitions being listed on the ticket thread. What I do have a problem with are those that post complaining about them and tyhose complaining about the chat, they are as bad as the chatters, and it annoys me that people thank them, when they waste just as much time for people as the odd post of chat.
Rant over. Grrrr.0 -

Hi
I take it DS is disabled son? If so see if your local cinema does an unlimited viewing card - have to sign up for year but can pay monthly then get a CEA card which allows a carer in free - as many films as he wants to see plus you go free with him - there should be a link for the CEA card on the cinemas accessability pageHappy with any wins this year :A0 -
