I was in the same situation, i say go into a branch and get one of the customer service ppl to check the "progree" (ie whether or not teh form has been filled in- apparently they can check if an issue has been raised)
If not get it done there and then and request a print out copy of teh (non fraudulent debit/ atm transaction) form then wait at least 2 weeks (which is what i'm doing)
if there's still no news- go back to teh branch and chase up
it's tedious but i guess this is one way teh banks make money!
gl- i'll update on my progress when it happens!

Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to reply.

'Up to 3 months' if you read my post below is less than satisfying but we will get there eventually!

Lloyds TSB have told me over the phone that my claim for a VISA chargeback has been received and is being processed so it should go through soon.
I'll keep chasing them until they credit my account.

    Good luck to everyone.

I paid with a Lloyds TSB Debit Card on the 26th Feb 08 for an Oasis Flight to London from Hong Kong on the 16th April 08 (£203.76(7 days after Oasis went bust)). After reading the entries on this forum, I wrote to Lloyds TSB in Southend on the 22nd April 08 enclosing copies of my bank statement, original Oasis ticket, new Cathay Pacific ticket (£213.34(flown on the 17th April 08), a copy of https://www.oasishongkong.com statement, and sent it all by registered post.

I've just checked my internet banking statement and was delighted to see that £203.76, the cost of the original Oasis ticket had been credited into my bank account - under 'Debit Card Dispute' on the 2nd of May 08. It only took 10 days!

Below is the letter I wrote to LLoyds TSB, and I'm including it in this post in the likelihood it may assist others who paid with a Lloyds TSB Visa Debit card to get a full re-imbursement. The only downside is that I did not receive the £1 overseas transaction charge back into my account...but I think I can live with that...

    Good luck to all!

    Dear Sir/Madam,

RE: Account xx-xx-xx xxxxxxxx - Transaction date 28th Feb 2008
    Consumer Credit Act 1974
Oasis Hong Kong Airlines: £203.76 + £1.00 overseas transaction fee – Goods/Services not provided
I purchased an online air ticket with Oasis Hong Kong Airlines on the 26th February 2008, for the 16th April 2008 to fly from Hong Kong to London (see attachments).
Oasis Hong Kong Airlines announced it was going into Liquidation on the 9th April 2008 (see attachment), and as a result I had to book another ticket with a different airline and make an upfront payment of £214.34 in order to return home to the UK on the 17th April 2008.
I have researched this issue and have been advised to contact Lloyds TSB for a full refund, as Lloyds TSB Debit Cards are covered for such issues, the same as Credit Cards under the ‘Charge-back’ scheme.
I respectfully request reimbursement for the sum of £204.76 (ticket price + overseas transaction fee) as a result of the service that I paid for was never received, due to Oasis Hong Kong Airlines going into liquidation on the 9th April 2008.
In addition, I have attached a copy of the additional airline ticket I purchased, for your information.
I look forward to your reply, and can be contacted by telephone on xxxxxxxxx if need be.
In advance, I sincerely appreciate your consideration, understanding and assistance in this matter.
    Yours faithfully,
    MR xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Vienly, Well done! I have no joy with MBNA yet, got a similar response to what you first got from HSBC after I wrote a letter to them and mentioned about the customer act. I got to send another letter that is similar to what you just said here. Would you mind posting your second letter here for our reference? Really appreciate it!

This is getting far more confusing than it should be.

I submitted the claim form via the Oasis Website when I first saw it appear there.
Everytime I spoke with HSBC they kept on telling me I would have to wait for an outcome from Oasis regarding if I would get a refund or not. I kept on complaining to them and eventually the person on the phone cracked and told me to write a letter to the Internal Chargeback Department in which I did.

In my letter, I wrote that I will no longer pursue my claim against Oasis and that I will only claim against the credit card company which is HSBC. I also stated that I was not happy with the response I had from HSBC and that this would be my final letter before I would have the Financial Ombudsman involved.

Two days later I receive a call from HSBC stating that the money would be credited back into my account.

I suppose you can keep calling 0845 6039952 and ask them what you can do to get your money back.

    All,

I paid for 3 tickets about 6 months ago on my Lloyds TSB DEBIT card at £226 each. After following the great advice here on the forum I wrote to Lloyds at their debit card services office in southend-on-sea. I am pleased to say that after a small confusion with the paperwork I sent them (Lloyds wrote to me saying they could not find all the confirmation information in what I had sent them, I phoned up, re-faxed the letters and it was all sorted) I received a full refund via chargeback.

I have to say that I was very impressed by Lloyds TSB and not once did they make me feel itimidated about getting the money back, they were extremely understanding and helpful.

Last of all I would like to thank everyone on this forum for informing me about how to perform a chargeback as without you I would have never even have thought about claiming on a debit card purchase. THANK YOU!

    Regards,
    Bushbrother

Still waiting for Lloyds TSB to refund. Will chase them after the bank holiday.

Finally got to Hong Kong with Virgin Atlantic. Great new aircraft and smooth flight. BUT... Flight attendants totally unattentive and self absorbed. They were more interested in having a laugh amongst themselves than looking after passengers. They even used the tannoy to play a prank on one of the other crew members ..... while we were landing!

Last month when I spoke to Natwest CC Customer Services Dept, I was told to post a letter, bank statement and proof of oasis tickets/confirmation:

    FAO: Chargebacks
Natwest, Cards Customer Services, PO BOX 5747, Southend-on-Sea, SS1 9AJ

Based on moonrakerz advice I used the same CC and paid for BA tickets for the same dates and posted confirmation for those as well as what they requested and I stated in my letter that under CC Act Section 75 that I am entitled to claim for the difference.

I was advised that I will get a letter of acknowledgment. I've only posted the letter recorded delivery last week and I've checked that it was received by their Southend Depot the next day. I think I am being impatient but I was just wondering if anyone has been successful claiming the difference with Natwest and how long it took? :p

lloyds tsb :rotfl: mastercard credited my account yesterday 5/5. they wrote last week for me to sign their declaration and send it back with oasis liquidators letter/announcement. all done in 3 weeks.

hoewever, they ignored my compensation claim for rebooking!!

never liked virgin on economy class. very stingy with space and service and the seats digs into you. but great upper class if you can get someone to pay for you!!cathay or air new zealand are far better.
