Tesco online shopping

  • I love on-line shopping. No taking the kids, no choosing your shopping, putting in trolley to take out again at checkout to bag up put back in trolley to put into car to unpack at home to unpack from bags into cupboards! I HATE THAT PART!

I'm sane because of it! I'm currently an Asda user mainly because they keep delivering late so I get free delivery and because of the price match. Mind you when Tescos realise I haven't ordered from them for a while they'll send me a voucher so will use them! I have no loyalty!!!

    best wishes

  • Just thought I'd offer a different angle,

If any one is concerned about the environmental side of things (which they don't appear to be), I look at it this way: it's a bit like getting the bus instead of driving, only the shopping has to share a ride with other people's shopping, rather than you sharing a bus (or supermarket) with asbos and Bianca-a-likes.

Most people seem to feel somehow guilty about using online shopping, I think they feel they are being lazy. But in fact it's usually cheaper, alot easier, a hell of a lot less stressful, and better for the environment - plus it provides some extra jobs for a few people. Everyones a winner.

Go on, get someone else to do your shopping for you - it's your civic duty. Besides, you'll get over it.

If I could have said thanks for each point I would have done! I hadn't thought of it like that but it makes perfect sense. Thank you very much! i now have a little more argument to back up my point when explaining to others!! :D

Hmmm... yes, it's funny how the "we deliver to your door... your fridge door" motto goes out the window when they turn up and you tell them there's no lift in your block of flats :D

  • I love it and am more than convinced I save money (just backing up other posts really).

    1) I don't pay for the petrol there and back.
    2) No impulse shopping - we get a basket on line and refine it down to the stuff we really need.
    3) Online vouchers. More often than not we can offset the whole deal with additional vouchers.

Also they're very good if stuff is damaged/missing/incorrect/to close to sell by in that they refund in full.

Obviously we still go to supermarkets for "in between shops" but for the main stuff online suits us.
