Finally sorted out filling in estas - thought of having to pay hurried me along, not going till 2011 but now done Had no problem with me, hubby or 2 of children all authorised. But the youngest ones says pending, is that usual , what if his isn't authorised can't be because of anything he's done hes 4 -unless they heard about his paint fight at school last week or that his passport photo looks really dodgy!!!
Hoping it is authorised in the next 72 hours. Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

The rules for land crossing did change last year, and the CBP would appear to confirm my information. Either way, completing the ESTA would certainly do no harm!Gone ... or have I?0 -

"green" and "white" forms are due to be fazed out from July 2010 - but as usual with governemt things, it is behind schedule. Although at the moment (and it depends where you enter the US) you may have to still fill in the "green" form or the "white" (if you have a visa) for now.C. (Ex-Pat Brit)

It has nothing to do with land/sea/air port. If you are using a UK passport to enter the USA you MUST have an ESTA. Without exception.
However if your immigration officer is lazy/asleep etc he may not check everyone!!!C. (Ex-Pat Brit)
