Was it actually refused or just decision pending?
If it was refused then you either ticked a wrong box or have been confused with someone who is not welcome in the US. If this is the case you will have to apply for a visa through the Embassy.0 -

Or you reapply again after 24 hours have elapsed.0 -
I know this is a pretty random question but I'm going to be taking my rbackpack on the plane with me, I will have 3 large cameras and a laptop + charger. Will this be OK? heading into New York, JFK from Manchester
Thanks..
Are you flying Delta from Manchester? If so I know Delta ( and I know of KLM also) allow you to bring onboard one suitcase ( within measurements required) and one personal item so handbag or laptop bag. Will you be putting the camera in the backpack? if so this shouldnt be a problem as will be two items inc laptop bag as your allowed.New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.
No place in the world that can compare ♥ 2nd October 2010 ♥0 -
When I filled one in last year it asked flight dates, times etc. Can you just fill it in now without exact details for travelling? OOPS, seen someone else asked this and you can do that now. Thanks.
The other thing I notice is people talking about the criminal record question always refer to "moral turpitude" - but surely the form requires ANY arrests, even if not leading to a conviction, of any sort and any criminal record. I get the feeling people are trying to wriggle out of pressing the yes button by dithering over this moral turpitude stuff.
Arrest or Conviction?
Have you ever been arrested or convicted for any reason in any country, even if the arrest did not lead to a conviction, or do you have a criminal record? Please note: the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act does not apply to U.S. visa law. If you are unsure, press YES.
Oh and for what its worth, I drove from Canada to the States last year and had to produce just my passport at border control.0 -

Form asksHave you ever been arrested or convicted for an offense or crime involving moral turpitude
Have you ever been arrested
The ESTA question specifically asks about crimes involving morale turpitude in question B.
Taking this one step further, the ESTA form statesCertification: I, the applicant, hereby certify that I have read, or have had read to me, all the questions and statements on this application and understand all the questions and statements on this application. The answers and information furnished in this application are true and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief.0 -
Havent ticked any boxes re criminal activities
Im a clean sheet. But I am still concerned people are dwelling on those words to avoid clicking on yes and may end up being stopped from entry. Surely this "on the embassy website/not on ESTA form" is just nit picking.

Your clean sheet ended with your misrepresentation on ESTA, now thats nit picking.
You have been pointed out EXACTLY what the question on ESTA says.
Do you understand what a crime of moral turpitude is? and the difference between that and say an arrest for disturbing the peace?
Now, the question here isHave you ever been arrested or convicted for an offense or crime involving moral turpitude
NOTHave you ever been arrested.
Can you not see the difference in that?
Now, heres a US lawyers perspective on this

"Your clean sheet ended with your misrepresentation on ESTA, now thats nit picking" (what on earth does that mean? what misrepresentation?).
You are very touchy about the subject arent you ..... ?? Why are you taking this so personally?
Ive been looking on the net and there are varying definitions of moral turpitude, including one which covers just about anything considered antisocial. So unless you have a definitive definition and that which is used by the USA customs (not by lawyers, wikepedia or any number of other people not involved in customs) then I cant see how you can be so certain of your facts.
Ive read your US lawyer and well its pretty useless, as he seems to be as confused as the rest of us (except you of course) about what is/isnt a banning crime.0 -
"Your clean sheet ended with your misrepresentation on ESTA, now thats nit picking" (what on earth does that mean? what misrepresentation?).
I'm sure that was explained. You clicked the box, therefore committing an innocent misrepresentation on the form, as you did not understand what you were clicking. You are very touchy about the subject arent you ..... ?? Why are you taking this so personally?
I'm not taking anything personnally.Ive been looking on the net and there are varying definitions of moral turpitude, including one which covers just about anything considered antisocial.
Care to point out where that is.So unless you have a definitive definition and that which is used by the USA customs (not by lawyers, wikepedia or any number of other people not involved in customs) then I cant see how you can be so certain of your facts.
US Customs use A) the Law andprevious cases. No-one, not even CBP, has a definitive definition. That can NEVER exist.
Ive read your US lawyer and well its pretty useless, as he seems to be as confused as the rest of us (except you of course) about what is/isnt a banning crime.
My god, you think I know everything! When did I ever say that. Good to know you think that a man who specialises in cases like this is "useless"
Now, he question isHave you ever been arrested or convicted for an offense or crime involving moral turpitude
NOTHave you ever been arrested
Do you at least accept that?0
