I visited USA in May 2009 and filled in the online ESTA form then. I see they last for 2 years. I will be visiting again in September 2010 (within 2 years) and remember that I had to enter the flight and first night hotel details which will now be different.

Do I have to start a new application for this next trip?

If your ESTA is still valid, I think you can just amend the flight and address details, but I stand to be corrected.

As long as you have the reference number for the original you can just go online and amend the flight/address details.

If not, apply for a new one - which will be good for another 2 years.

It isn't mandatory to amend the flight or accommodation details so you can leave it as is.

I applied for the ESTA and got approved, I also printed it out and have it with me right now.

On the website it does not indicate that you have to enter your flight details and place of residence when over in the states. Is the ESTA website correct?

Also, in regards to the green form you have to write out when you are on the plane, what kind of questions does it ask you? (need to know so I need to take any of my documentation with me on the plane, addresses, phone number. etc. etc.)

    Thanks!

    Correct, those details are optional.

You can see a copy of the green I-94W Visa Waiver form HERE.

If you have these details, then yes. You can always enter them later when you know these details. This is the whole idea of the ESTA.

The green form repeats exactly the same questions that ESTA asks.

It may have changed, but in the past you HAD to put an address in the US - so even if ESTA doesn't require it you'll need to provide it on arrival.

The green forms are now being phased out, just checked in for a flight to Vegas and dont need to complete the green form anymore.

So are you saying that I should enter my flight details and address on the ESTA? if so, I'll go and print another one out with the flight information. etc.

Thank you worldtraveler for the link. I see it's just like the ESTA.. lol
