I'm surprised no one has mention Hedrin-marvellous stuff. 2 applications a week apart and it really does the job-AND it's available free on pharmacist prescription.0

I've found the battery powered combs work well this type of thing it kills most of them on contact and sterilizes the rest:T0

T-gel shampoo got rid if my kids nits brilliantly after all else had failed.
Be careful only use a tiny bit and not on kids with excema or asthma.
It's the tar in it that killls the nits.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
Sorry if I have posted this in wrong place but thought I would let every one know that you can get on prescription Head lice remedies from Boots the Chemist. I am sick of the little blighters spent £100's on combs. lotions and potions and for the past six months have been combing constantly! Well off I trotted to Boots ( I would sooner comb than use strong chemicals but I have had enough now and just want the offenders out of my daughters hair)
questioned the counter staff about the best stuff available and was told that head lice remedies can be given ( obviously for non paying scripts) over the counter, a simple form to fill in giving childs details, doctors, DOB etc and hey presto I came away with a bottle! Thought I might mention it in case there are any more itchy heads out there!:T0 -
Hi
I was given a twin bottle of Derbac M, you have to leave it on over night, this particular lotion is recommended that you only use it twice, if still not effective to go back and an alternative will be discussed as they now have my details on file, must say thanks to Boots for their friendly attitude. Hope this helps.0 -
There is an electric nit comb that you can get on prescription too!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Yes ,when my sister was small she would come home every other week with a new outbreak.
Until we discovered that it was her friend she sat next to in class. They both used to write with their heads on the desk together & they just kept passing it to each other.
The girls mum wouldn't believe it so my mum insisted my sister sat next to someone else. It is a pain as the whole family need to be treated & i had very long & extra thick hair, It was very painful. I still curse La*** C******!0 -
