quorn curry and jacket potatoes... we're having pizza tonight (not homemade:D but frozen from the supermarket:A rather than from the pizza shop:o ) I promise that when the freezer is a little emptier, Wayne and I will have a blitz and make a few HM pizzas and freeze them ready for DFW lifestyle; but not just yet!

Wayne does a 'pot-luck' curry loosly based on chick-pea curry but if he can't find a specific ingredient (like chick peas) he'll improvise (with baked beans or somthing. Bit hit and miss, but worth it for the hits IYSWIM.

Good luck with calling nursery. Calm and reasoned stating your points should get some decent response. Let us know what happens.

Chickpea curry...yum! I've got some chickpeas in the cupboard, but the boys don't like them. I usually use them in a vege chilli, but I might try making a curry with them instead.

Natasha has nicked my 'd' key! :rotfl: She pulled it off and threw it down the back of the toy chest/coffee table thingy, and I can't find it - I've pulled it right out! I'm having to press the little nobbly bit underneath! Luckily I'm on the old laptop not the new one, because I'm moving some files around.

  • Good luck Snaggles.... I'm sure the questions your gonna ask have been asked before, but I do like your approach to it, rather than jumping straight in! I hope you get the resolution you want

hope i've not missed you, just kinda approach it in as much to say "you're worried tash isn't drinking as much as she'd like... and now nappy rash maybe caused by strong urine, so can she have unsheduled changes of nappies when wet, rather than on time like it appears to be. And can she have her weak juice offerred more often than at present"

No accusations, no likely comeback, but you'll know if it improve then your points were taken on board.

Present them with solution rather than problem hun.

Could be teething as i remember erin getting sudden onset nappy rash (nice name indebt!!).

you're doing the right thing re fresh air and sudocrem.... and don't feel guilty about sorting it out. If Tash is happy otherwise then please don't worry too much about her. Altho work creche sounds good!

Snaggles, I'm guessing these pancakes weren't the English kind but the 'something to get your teeth into' kind that are popular across the atlantic pond?

I'm going to have to learn how to make them and thus extend my repertoire of all things culinary!

Phew....phone call made. She said they do change nappies to a sort-of timetable, in that checks are made at certain points throughout the day, but they should also be using common sense and changing babies who were obviously wet or soiled as and when required. She was very apologetic and said she would speak to Natasha's keyworker to see if she could get to the bottom of why it had happened.

I feel a bit more reassured that it was a one-off now, although I am still going to view the works creche next week, and will compare the two.

The creche is massive - something like 238 places! But it's split into small rooms, so the manager says it doesn't feel impersonal or overwhelming, and the staff work in the same rooms all the time, so they get to know the kids.

I'm not sure how much it costs...but I think it could be quite a bit cheaper.

If I do decide to send her there though, I will feel guilty for taking her out of nursery now that they have been so apologetic....lol.
