Thanks dinx. Going to ring them tomorrow (that way they wont be able to see how scared I look....not very good at complaining!).

I think I might need someone to hold my hand though.....or would a V&T (for courage purposes only you understand ;)) be acceptable at 10am? :rotfl:

    Snags,
I would HAVE to say something.
Count the amount af nappies in her bag in the morning and tally it up with how many times they have supposedly changed her- I think that's appalling!
IF I was in charge of a child (which I have been) that had nappy rash, it would be documented and if it 'flared' up in the day I would have called the parent to 'pre-warn' them.

I know how guilty you feel about leaving her and this won't be helping but I ;personally feel you MUST say something x

  • Ouch for Natasha I know how awful it is (well not literally!) - my ds no2 used to suffer from quick onset nappy rash (I made that name up how creative am I lol!) and when it happened it was awful - his poor bottom used to be covered in spots and bleed too!! Liberal dollops of sudacreme and lots of fresh air did the trick - but it was so unpleasant. I'm glad you're speaking to the nursery, perhaps they're using a different wipe - either way they have to know. Glad work is going well.
    xx

    Morning!

Natasha is having a little nap so thought I would do a little update.

Stu's speeding ticket thingy arrived this morning so he's got £60 to find in the next 28 days. Luckily he gets paid weekly, so it wont be a problem, but he will have no spending money for a couple of weeks, He's taken on a slightly bigger area at work though, so hopefully will start getting a small amount of overtime again before long.

I've got the last week of the school summer holidays off, and Stu is trying to book the same week, plus we are also trying to get a week off each in May/June, so that we can use the folding camper a couple of times this year. It will be expensive during the summer holidays, I'm sure, but we are only going to north Yorkshire, so there wont be much petrol needed etc, and our £2 coin collection will be our spending money (might count that today actually and see how we're doing).

I'm just about to sign up for another sharesave - I wasn't going to do it this year but with the share price being so rubbish at the moment, the offer price is really good and has potential to make a decent profit in 5 years time. And if it doesn't, or I leave work in the meantime, at least I will have some savings to cash in.

Bit worried that I'm doing it without really knowing what I'm going to be earning....but I'm not increasing my outgoings because the one that matures in August finishes at the same time as this one starts.

    Snaggles,

My mum used to do share saves (when she worked before she retired) and found them to be an excellent savings mechanism. Bonus if she'd saved up and bought shares for 20p when they were worth 60p (instant 40p profit in her view). They usually had some interest component as well. If it's not an extra outgoing, and you've managed so far then go for it!

Good luck with contacting the nursery. Why not write out what you want to say (maybe not word for word, but a cue card). Good luck and let us know how you get on... and if you need me, I'll happily fight your corner if you need a breather/support!

Haven't rung them yet :o I'm sooo nervous. But I thought maybe I could ring and say I'd like to ask a few questions about their nappy policy, because I'm a bit concerned about the state of Natasha when I picked her up....and then tell them about the weeping skin (much better this morning after a few hours without a nappy, but still very sore and all scabbed over....yuck!). Does that sound okay?

I think I will write it down first Cat, good idea, thanks. :)

Housework blitz going well so far Hypno - the kitchen is done, the washing up mountain is done, bins emptied, dining area nearly done. Although I have to say, Natasha is creating mess quicker than I can clear it! :rotfl:How are you doing with the accounts?

Awww, Natasha just said 'all gone'! :T

She finished her juice, threw the cup across the room , held her hands out as if to show me they were empty and said 'ah gom'! :D

    Almost finished?;):p

I'm going to have to make an early start on dinner today - I need something healthy, Stu mentioned we needed to use up the potatoes we bought (get him, thinking of something like that! :T), and Ryan has requested 'something spikey' (spicy :D).

So I am making a pan of quorn curry and doing jacket potatoes...it will be just like bonfire night! :o
