You're kidding me? So would he rather you were desperately unhappy, working for free, for a man who was badmouthing you to all and sundry?
Shall I ring him and get him told? :rotfl:
Do you own a frying pan with a nice heavy base, just in case?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Right - my turn to think about secretly travelling to a Travelodge near Bunny's place and pummelling Bunny's hubby rather than her planning to do the same to me.
Imagine if we passed each other on the way!!!!!!:rotfl:
You did the right thing, hun and I know that you will get a job incredibly quickly."Stay Wonky":D

To be honest, I'm sort of relieved to be taking over control of it again, because I knew at the back of my mind that he wasn't keeping track of our spending, but I wanted to give him chance to prove he could successfully manage a budget.
Thank goodness it's 'only' £200 - we haven't had the payment from the magazine yet, so we should be able to cover it from that, but it's annoying because I wanted to pay off some of the secured loan with that.
He probably hasn't had much chance to learn to budget though if you usually do it and he did spend it on family, food etc....
It could be worse:

I'm a control freak with the finances and have had to back off because Mrs BB was getting a little narked with being "kept in the dark", "treated like a child" - I'm tryign to learn our money is a shared thing to make our lives better - perhaps go through and work out where it went astray together ?0 -
Well, as he has put it...
'there's no point in me working all the hours god sends so we have to use the extra money to pay for you not having a job'
then he said I need to sign on-when I pointed out that 1. I cant because I left and 2. a tribunal would take weeks he wasn't best pleased...
I'm not worried-I've never been out of a job ever to be honest!

And does anyone know if I can stop 1 months payment for my DMP?
I think I am going to have to fight tooth and nail for the past 2 weeks pay...
I've also decided I am going to call the recruitment company that 'placed' me and tell them the truth about Mr Headup!!!!!wuckfitalcoholictw@tEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -

The not being paid on time must be a strong indicator that something was wrong - I don't know if that alone may have been grounds for leaving - or him drinking at work. There's a term for being forced to resign called "constructive dismissal" - basically if life made hell it's the same as being made redundant - you may get legal advice on house insurance.
Midlands? Adecco are a big temp. agency in that area if you are prepared to do temping menial office work, or university temping service (staffs?) usually - it's not great pay but http://www.staffs.ac.uk/aboutus/jobs/index.php temp jobs not always advertised but quite often they'll have people starting the next day
you can always tell people you left because small company and not paid hence no reference or just had a bot of time at home with kids...0 -
um, yeah.
He is determined for me to work on a till at Morrisons-which, tbh, I wouldnt really mind as it wouldnt entail much thought...
That sounded really bad-what I mean is, there wouldnt be much responsibility to the job so therefore less stress....
