'Unskilled' labour is all well and good Bun, but what worries me slightly is that he seems to be pushing you towards work that you are unlikely to find fulfilling and where your talents wont be utilised. Almost like....I dunno....a punishment? Sorry if I'm barking up the wrong tree or speaking out of turn.

BB - I know I'm being possibly a bit mean taking control of the shopping budget, but last month we were £150 over budget and this month £200....and I have NO idea why, because our cupboards and fridge are virtually empty. He had managed to put aside a small amount of savings, but that's all gone, and there's very little overtime at his work at the moment.

I think what I might actually do is leave him in 'control' ;) of it, but ask him to use my credit card (which he has an additional card on), so that I can track the balance every couple of days and make sure we're not overspending. Is that a bit sneaky though?

You are NOT mean taking over the shopping budget. IF he can't keep to a simple budget then it's for the best. WHy do you think I control all out money?? :rotfl:

I feel a little bit guilty because obviously we must have been buying more than usual, and perhaps I should have spotted that, but I was trusting him to keep track and say something when we were spending too much.

    Nah, actually I don't feel that guilty...lol!

Yes, she's doing quite well with the walking. She can only manage 3 or 4 steps, but she just looks so pleased with herself when she does it. She's doing so well with the talking though - she says 'Daddy', 'yes', 'hiya' 'ta' and 'yum yum yum'. She shakes her head for no, but will say 'nononono' if she's really cross, and 'Mumumumum' if she's upset.

She also says 'duck' (well, guck....lol) when she sees her favourite toy, which is called Tasha-Duck (because it has the exact same shaped head as her! :D).

    it SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO does too :p

If I had £25,000 in a high interest account (say A&L) how much intrest a month would that generate?
