This is the most fantastically brill thread, I've been glued to the whole of it for the past 3 nights!
I started using Clinique 3 step 3 weeks ago (plus the foaming cleanser stuff which is pre step 1) as i have had spots since I was 11 and am now 33. Not hideously bad in recent years, but enough to make me properly fed up on occasion. Anyway, I know it's not cheap and some people really don't like the clarifying lotion, but for me (so far) it's great. Skin has improved no end, and don't have a flaky forehead problem any more. So, it's got to be moneysaving if you're not shelling out on loads of stuff, and it's only gone down a tiny bit in the time I've been using it!
My other recommendations are Morrisons face wipes 88p for 25 often on BOGOF. I don't actually use these anymore but really good for removing eye make, never woke up with extra bits on your cheeks that you thought you'd got rid of. On a similar note, Boots cucumber eye make up remover at £1.46 is much better than Clinique Take The Day Off (which I got to try for free with Bonus Time when I bought my stuff the other week).
M&S toiletries at £1 a throw, often 3 for 2, shower gels and soaps I particulary like. I buy coconut smell as it reminds me of holidays :-)
Maybelline Define A Lash is fantastic, much better than any other I've tried and no clumping issues even with 2 or more coats.
I've made a few notes whilst reading through the thread and have ordered some stuff from ELF which I'm very excited about arriving! Will also be trying the Superdrug Vit E body cream, MeMeMe cheek tint and the Avon skin so soft oil as mozzies love me. I once had a bite on my bum that made one cheek swell to twice the size so if this works I'll be ecstatic!
Recently saw Urban Decay lip gloss in poundland (infact they were in a 2 for £1 section but were, sadly, in the wrong place). Sure I've got a sample of the Lanacane in my 'beauty draw' as well so going for a rummage to find it.
Thanks so much for starting this Harryharp it's brilliant!0 -
Im still using the Avon as well - my skin is loving it BUT I do also use the Vit E oil for those really dry skin days and I use the OCM as a cleanser and mineral make up. I think the whole regime is working. roseacea and blackheads nearly a thing of the past
Oh and I ex foliate on the days I dont use the OCM
Have to echo the OCM That's sorted my oily patches, they rarely come out these days
I've found vit E capsules, punctured and the juice squirted out, make a great moisturising face pack. I generally leave it on all night and dry patches are improved. Doesn't seem to set off the greasy bits but I put a little less on them. Don't use near eyes but if you want plump lips go girl!
i generally follow the oil with a little light cream. Could put it in it? And how about Q10? It seems to be in a lot of creams these days, maybe I could put that in a bit of cream too? *puts chemist hat on*
Quite funnily I found a capsule on the table and used it like Vit E. Was a bit disturbed by the smell when I realised it was in fact a cod liver oil cap! Washed it off quick smart as once I'd smelled it I couldn't do otherwise :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Don't think it would do my skin any harm but 'fish' isn't an atractive scent

Has anyone noticed that the male sex don't use cosmetics, they don't cleanse, they don't moisturise, they don't exfoliate, they don't need vitamins, they don't fake tan, they use normal soap, and their skin is fine - it's all hype.0

I'm not sure this is strictly true. My OH doesn't need to use all that stuff, true - and his skin is fine - for a man.
Personally I don't want to have the skin of a man.0 -

And the majority of them "exfoliate" - a daily shave removes the upper layer of dead skin cellsOperation Get in Shape

"I find that a lot of men don't use products". Think we all know that you mean a lot of men don't buy products. My OH, who is now 60, uses my facial cleanser and my face creams. He says he has never had so good skin. I bought the aldi face cream and kept it in the bathroom for him to use, keeping the expensive stuff well hidden!0

I agree my boyf uses skincare products now as he has become consious of how is skin is looking obviously this is because of the copious amounts I have, never the less he uses themLoves Vegas shopping and beauty products!0

Well I have a list as long as my arm now, ta girlies
My best body exfoliator is... gloves. I absolutely love them - just a little squirt of a nice, moisturising shower gel (usually from poundland or B&M, tbh) and you're on your way to beautifully soft legs.
I like the Alberto Balsam 'free me freesia' shampoo and conditioner. It leaves my hair clean! (I used fudge unleaded daily shampoo and conditioner today and my sis said "I thought you were washing your hair?":mad:)
I like the Nivea night cream for body. I picked it up for 95p in a local discount store. It's very thick and moisturising - great for slathering on before bed  The day version is £6.95 in boots
Boots do a nice eyeliner in their natural collection. It's in pencil form and really easy to apply, stays on well. I picked it up after being told I was being taken out for the night and had no make-up with me. Their powder blusher is also very good, but the foundation was definitely not to be repeated. Ooh, their strawberry facemask is great for a little pick-me-up too.
Wet n Wild have a mascara that is comparable to benefit's bad gal - which is my favourite. Their megaplump lipgloss is very pretty ( I have South Peach, but Berry Rouge looks pretty too). There also appears to be a sale on right now - so get orderingThe lipgloss was £3.42 and the Mascara £4.89 but there seems to be quite a few 99p products there too.
I love Eve Lom, so will try the Tesco stuff - thanks for the recommendation.I have quite the regime, i use Dermalogica for my face - essential cleansing solution for cleansing, soothing protection spray as a toner, i exfoliate every other day with daily microfoliant, mosturise with Intensive Mouisture balance in the summmer and super rich repair in the winter and use the intensive moisture mask twice a week.
I found that www.gorgeousshop.co.uk is the best place for Dermalogica skincare. You get 8% cashback with topcashback too
I do apologise for the long, rambling post - I tend to type as I remember somethingYou'll be glad to know that's all I can remember for now
Oooh, ooh :j and carmex is the dogs :cool:0
