I did use DHC extra virgin oil but I can't afford it at the moment, this is a little more greasy so I have to use less than a drop, but it's moisturised the dry areas of my skin and though at first my oily patches flipped out they have now become a lot better.
Shame about the smell but I mix over essential oils (diluted of course) into it to make it smell good.
Have you tried Natural Vitamin E oil? I get a small bottle from Holland and Barretts (packaged by earthly elements) its just a few pound and is lasting a lifetime. A couple of drops when my skin is very dry is all it takes. Smells better then olive oil as well:D0 -
Bargain Rzl - have you tried the Aldi £1.89 (or however much it is now) face cream? I have the same acne / dry problem as you, with some bits of my face completely normal, I thought it was just me! That's just about the best cream I've tried, on a par with Liz Earle and Body Shop vit E lotion (rather than the cream, I found that to be no good at all).0

Yes, I use the Aldi cream too- I think it's fantastic. But I use Avon Liiv Botanicals moisturiser in the summer (as recommended by Suki I think!), as it has spf 20- the Aldi cream is only spf 3 I think. I don't think Liz Earle has any sun protection at all.
Im still using the Avon as well - my skin is loving it BUT I do also use the Vit E oil for those really dry skin days and I use the OCM as a cleanser and mineral make up. I think the whole regime is working. roseacea and blackheads nearly a thing of the past
Oh and I ex foliate on the days I dont use the OCM0 -

Oh I'll have to try that, the olive oil works great but the smell isn't great and is a little heavy for everyday use.The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Not sure if this is already posted, however the absolutely best thing for strong nails is Sweet Almond Oil - one of the ingredients of Solar Oil. I used to use Body Shop's which I found better than Solar Oil, but I think it'd be worth giving normal Almond Oil a try!0

My fave budget beauty buys are:
Carmex - lips
Olive oil - general all round moisturisers for body and face (face only at night)
Almond oil - excellent conditioner for nails
Toner - cold water. So many toners dry out your skin. A good rinse with cold water is as good as it gets
Palmers Cocoa Butter
Simple Eye Make Up Remover - really gentle - like water but better
One of the best cleansers I tried was Noxzema Original Cleanser - was one of those products that all the supermodels were reputed to use in the 80s. Costs about 3 -4 pounds.
In summer I wear a facial sunscreen instead of moisturiser
Dove soap - much cheaper than shower gels and has a lovely smell
Stick deodorants last much better than aerosols etc
Make up - my personal fave is Bourjois - a cheaper alternative to Chanel - but I also rate Tesco's Barbara Daly range
(PS one of my fave not so budget finds is Burt Bees Soap Bark and Chamomile Wash Off Cleanser - smells like sherbert and only a little bit is required - costs about 9 pound but lasts a long time!)0 -
First time post but was in Wilkinsons and they had there individual wrapped fake tan wipes on for buy one get one free... so 2 boxes of 20 sachets for £1.99.
Stock up ladies as I'm not sure when the offer ends!
