I've recently found that there is a really good mineral foundation that is faairly cheap in superdrug in the N.Y.C range. they only do a few shades but if you are plae they have a lovely light shade. It comes in pressed and loose and you get your mini kabuki brush with it and it only costs £4.99 for either one.
Used it all last week and it was lovely on, it's almost a semi-matt consistancy that gives you a slight dewy glow. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Just gone back to cheapo brands after using up all my expensive stuff and am discovering that I used to love (and still do):
Superdrug Vitamin E facial wash
Simple Skincare (Wipes and 'Kind to Skin' Light Moisturiser)
Boots Cucumber Eye Gel
Simple Lavender Shower Gel0 -
The one thing I love for a bit of luxury at a very reasonable price is M&S bubble bath - mum bought me some last Xmas and Im hooked! Particularly love the Coconut Milk cream bath and Aloe Vera foam bath - leave my sensitive skin lovely and soft and a total bargain at just £1 for a good-sized bottle.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

Hi there.
I have sensitive skin and use Pure make up wipes, they cost 2 packs for £1.00 in Poundland or approx 49p in Savers.
Thanks for all the previous tips.0 -
I love the Garnier Pure Active Blackhead Clearing Scrub. Not sure whether it actually clears blackheads but I haven't had spots since I've started using it 6 weeks ago. I'm 29 and while I have never suffered with bad acne, I've always had a few stubborn reoccuring spots on my chin. This stuff is magic and way better than the Clinique face wash gel at triple the price. You can't get it everywhere but Tesco do it.
The other thing I love is Barry M eye shadow. It's cheap and lasts forever. Fantastic.A big thank you to everyone who contibutes to the MSE forums :T0 -
I am in love with the collection 2000 Shimmer and shade, it is an all over face bronzer/highlighter. with two flowers on it. Its £2.00 at my local Ethel Austin ,and is not too disimiliar to Clinique's In Bloom compacts.I have them both, and you just cant tell the difference.Apart from the price tag.:)
Hope this helps other Bronzing addicts.I appreciate Each and Every win. I thank every comp poster from the bottom of my heart :A0 -
I have made a discovery- I routinely use sesame oil on my face after the shower in the morning (and over my body too) and after running out of make up remover, I tried this: A few drops of sesame oil on my face to remove make -up , including mascara, wipe off with a wet baby wipe (I use the Pampers ones for sensitive skin, no perfume), et voila!! All comes off very easily and leaves my skin baby soft!!!
I buy my sesame oil from a provider on the internet and a litre has lasted me almost 10 months, using it pretty much every day for face, body, ayurvedic massage , etc... I have very dry skin and in winter is awful, it parches badly when here in England. After spending time in India I picked up the oil wisdom and I use it every day now- a good friend has asked me several times what am I putting in my face , as my skin looks healthy and bright...
I thought I should share the make-up removal tip...0 -
I used to spend/waste money on facial skincare items which ranged from cheap boots own brand to expensive clinique masks, toners, cleansers etc.I now make up my own very cheaply and now have more money and better skin.I make up a mixture which contains rose water, glycerine, honey, gram flower. lemon juice pinch of turmeric. It's known as Ubtan in india and I found out about it while browsing a beauty website. It's done wonders for my skin. I apply it every morning and either wipe it off like a cleanser or let it dry like a mask .
I'm not snobby about branded makeup either-I'm more than happy using collection 2000 and rimmel &if I do like something which is priceier(bourjois max factor etc) I wait until there is an offer -IMO buying expensive does not mean that it will look better because it's the technique in applying which gives the results.Love can tame the wildest0 -
I wrote earlier in the thread in praise of Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara as being the best mascara I had found - but this is no longer the case.
I recently bought Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara and can state without doubt that this is even better. It really does make me look as if I am wearing false lashes and one coat is easily enough.:TSome people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever
