Hey Sonne
Ubtan sound interesting, can you tell me what proportions of the ingredients use, would like to try it.
Also, what website did you find the info on in the first place0 -
Having run out of everything, last night I used Nivea Creme (blue tub) as a make-up remover, including mascara- I put a tiny bit on my lashes and spread a bit on rest of my face, wiped it off with a wet wipe (papers ones for babies) and amazingly, it all came off without tears, itching or panda eyes in the morning...
Great as emergency measure, I can't see why i wouldn't work on a more regular basis... money saving and simple!!0 -
For lovers of Elizabeth Arden skin care, I got an e-mail this morning full of cut-price offers. I don't need anything at present so I will resist
but for others who might want to have a browse here's the link: http://www.saveonmakeup.co.uk/acatalog/index.html

Hi i've never really used expensive face creams as couldn't afford them, and i read an article somewhere can never remember about cleansing with olive oil.
So now i just get nettos extra virgin olive oil and rub into face and neck, then get a flannel and make it wet with very hot water and wipe over face several times, it really refreshes youand then pat dry and moisturize with bog standard aqueous cream 99p from home and bargain and i must say my skin hasn't looked softer...well apart from 15 years ago
Always looks dewy and i used to get dry patches even with E45 but they have gone now :T

Was surprised how cheap everything was, the french manicure set was half price, and I'd fancied one for ages, nearly spent my Boots No7 £5 off voucher on theirs, which was £12.50.
I also wanted false eyelashes to wear out to a big event next Fri, but I balked at paying £6 in Superdrug/Boots in case I didn't get on with them, at £1.50 if I can't wear them, it's not so bad!
Is it sad I'm really excited about this parcel arriving now, lol?!0 -
I've never tried the all over colour stick, but I've seen it highly receommended in a lot of mags. I use the lip care in pink lemonade and it's a lovely shade, which would suit pretty much most complexions.
However, my recent bargain discovery was in Poundland, where I picked up a Vital Radiance eyeshadow trio. They're made by Revlon and are really, really good. I bought the brown one, which I think was called desert dunes or desert sands. They've got a very velvety texture and blend really well.
I've paid a lot more for eyeshadows in the past which haven't been anywhere near as good as this.0 -

I was given a book called Holistic beauty, and it has a lovely recipe for a face wash that contains ground almonds, ground porridge, sweet almond oil, shea butter and essential oils. It also mentioned ground orange and lemon peel, plus lavender and rose petals ground up, but I did not have those. Anyway a small amount of this mix is then 'activated' with a few drops of warm water, rubbed on the face, then washed off. I love it to bits and it takes minutes to make and lasts 2 months. My skin is dry and sensitive and this mix is very, very gentle. The ground almonds release vitamin E when warm water is added, and you can really feel it.
I think it would make a lovely gift too, so have now got some lavender and rose petals for my next batch. A little honey might be nice too, as it is a natural preservative. I estimate it costs £0.70p, if that, to make a pot with the basic ingredients.MFW #185

Sounds lovely. Can you tell us the proportions for each ingredient and how we can make it too? :j0
