Thanks Lula, will keep checking your thread. I have noticed they now have a 2.5% one. I've not yet pressed the send button to fill my Halifax one, think i'll wait a week to see if there are any late entries and then fill the Halifax one

Just transferred the £2500 to the Nationwide Flex Direct for the 5% and set the s/o's up to ping the £1k back and forth a month
I'm still waiting for the little card reader thingy to turn up. The only way you can transfer funds in is either via memorable info or the card reader. Can't remember my memorable info :rotfl: but then had brainwave that I could borrow a reader from family member and it would work for me (I read it on here;))
My next dilemma is whether to open one more for me and three more for family member. The T&C's say that you can have 4 Flex accounts but they only pay the 5% on one of them, however, on the bank account thread a number of people were saying NW were verbally advising them that 5% would be paid on them all and they have now updated the thread to say that the 5% has indeed been paid on them all
My guess is that T&C's beat verbal but it seems clear there is a loophole so wondering whether to make hay while the sun shines and open some others. If they do subsequently reduce it to just paying 5% on one account then hey ho, we knew it was a risk and will just be thankful for what we've had so far.

Hi all
Have made another small OP of £20.78 which relates to interest earned.
Was just having another think about the NW flex, I was thinking that I could only fill another one but that's not true. I could fill another two and then pretty quickly fill the fourth and final one but this all hinges on the 'will NW really pay me 5% on them all?' question
Nothing ventured and all that so now off to open some more!

Thanks Tilly, can't take all the credit for this one as it was Gally who gave the tip off.
I do find this process a bit of a challenge, like most of us every now and again I go through the overpay V. save crisis :rotfl: I love seeing the mortgage balance come down and many times have been prepared to overpay rather than save even when it didn't make financial sense but I'm trying to strike more of a balance at the moment and 5% really is too good to miss out on at the moment

Right, another 6 Flex Directs duly opened
3 for me, three for family member. I've got money in LTSB Vantage accounts at 3% so will move funds from there to Flex.
The worst that can happen is that I get no more interest from NW and miss out on a months interest from LTSB at the same time but its a chance I'm going to take for a month
I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday. This is surely TWO CONSECUTIVE DAYS the round yellow thing has been in the sky :rotfl:

Thanks and you're right, always a bloomin nightmare. They were supposed to call me last Monday night and what a surprise, they didn't call  I was away all last week bouncing around a number of hotels so have just had to wait until this coming week to call them again. Last time I was on hold for 45 mins before I got through and it's a heck of a call rate so wasn't going to do that from work/my mobile/hotel!
It's so infuriating as I double checked with them that they would definitely call as I've been let down in the past and was assured I'd definitely get the call...
PS, what a lovely Sunny Easter Monday :j

ATT
So... They never did call me and after many attempts I finally got through ( so annoying when you go through over 3 mins of phone options and then the message says too busy call back, and grrr)
Think it's all sorted now so have everything crossed that they have done what they said they have and that the end result is that records show I DO NOT OWE another almost £2k!!!
