Sorry to hear about the car what size are you looking at. I have a company Passat which is great to drive if a little boring. Just taken my new second hand Corsa back from Manchester it handles really well and feels like a big car. I love the Fiat 500 that is what I am buying myself when I get a new job.

    Catch up soon.

  • Hi TG, glad your trip to pick up your new car went well and that it's handling well

I'd like at least a 1.8, currently looking at a Toyota Yaris but there is also a BMW calling my name :o:o:o:o:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Hope that new job wings it's way to you soon :D

  • Hi all

Just popped in to update my signature which I love doing :j
Is it just me or is a mortgage balance of £138,846 starting to sound more like a 'normal' mortgage balance now :o

Quite pleased with that and nice to have dropped down into the next thousand slot. £100k is feeling so close now, well by close I mean the next 2/3 years!

I've made my normal £500 OP and will likely add some more between now and March pay day.

I've also put £500 into savings and £250 of that is a monthly saver I set up last month.

£200 OP also to 0% CC so that's coming along nicely

I don't have any unusual expenses due this month, lol, I typed unexpected by accident, can you expect unexpected things :rotfl:

Just off to check my CC balance and then will report back

  • Right then, the CC balance is £839.14 but for those rounder upper'ers around here (you know who you are :p) I will be rounding that off in a couple of days. It's the minimum payment direct debit that gives me this problem!

As I've said before, this is 0% until June but I'm paying it down every month.

I've got some money pinging around various accounts to get rewards etc so that should all be back in by this Friday so at the very least I will sent £9.14 to the CC and will likely round it off to £800 as the next pay day approaches and I see what I have left

Talking of Rewards etc, I must get round to getting a couple of DD's moved to my Halifax Reward account and also do the same for my mother's reward account.

Just off to have an early evening meal but will hopefully get to pop back on here later

    Regards

That is a bit of a difference I like the Yaris my mum has one. BMW out of our price bracket and they don't come with many extras.

Well done on the overpayment and I agree with the 0% it's tempting to pay it off.

Done 1 application still got 2 to do will have to be done on Saturday now as deadline is looking.

BMW's are up themselves. Fact :D.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I really must try and make some time to post more. So much happens in the month and then I either forget most of it when on here or risk writing a novel :rotfl:

So, I had a £10 lottery win last night so I've Op'd that to the mortgage. I only have the urge to do the lottery two or three times a year and yesterday was of hose times and happily with a good result.

I've also just made an extra OP of £28.67 which was a TCB payout. At the moment though I don't have any pending TCB payments as not bought anything on line for a while.

So far this month I have made Op's of £540.41 and will probably make a little more between now and the next pay day.

Today I've also sent the first MFiT T3 update form. In the T2 challenge I always looked miles behind as I just reported my mortgage balance rather than any savings that I was using as my 'mental offset'. So, this time I'm trying to remember to send the update to include the savings.

I'm sure I'll get used to it but it seems a bit confusing as I have my 'real' savings balance e.g. the total amount I have in savings account and then there is the savings that I'm building since this challenge began.

Think I'll have to play with this one a bit, the reason I'm not showing my 'real' savings is because I know I nned to change the car, i've been putting off decorating for ages but must get it done etc.

As I'm typing this I think in the short-term I'll continue to just include the amount I've saved since December until I work out what the other expenses are

  • Hi ATT, good luck with the decorating and car hunting. Mr T has decorated one room, and there's plenty more to go :o

However, Spring is definitely on the way and it won't be long and we can be outside, which will be a delight to us both.

    Best wishes Tilly x
