I've had a look at her updated website.
In the Q&A it says:
Q. Will you really not accept handouts?
A. Money for nothing? No. Large amounts of money for doing not much? Maybe. But I really do want to make it myself.
I'm not sure what that means really. Surely anybody would accept 'large amounts of money for doing not much'.
And why the paypal link

Sorry ms_london, just noticed you've already asked the paypal question.0

The whole thing looks a bit fishy to me I'm afraid. It's just a publicity stunt - and if it works it maybe says more about society in general than onegirl herself.Midas.0

I have a paypal link to make payments easier if I sell things etc. Publicity is good because the more people that know about the site, the more ideas I get sent which therefore gives me more options on how to pay off my debt.
Why would it be a publicity stunt?! I don't want to be a Z-list celebrity, I want to be able to lead a debt-free life and I'm really trying to make that happen.www.onegirloneyear.co.uk0 -
errm because you don't wish to use your salary to eridicate the debt, all the requests we made for you to post your incomings and outgoings so we could find ways to help were ignored.onegirl wrote:Why would it be a publicity stunt?! Ms london - you write a book at how you got your debt down and i'd buy it!0 -
Actually if you expended the same amount of energy to actually getting the second job you talk about instead of posting on forums all over the internet, you could probably reduce your loan in half a year

Aaaw Shucks. How about buying the "Essentials" magazine that is due out on the 9th November, I might be in there :0) (well, I am actually......)
Not sure if I could write a book about it, but thanks ;0)0 -
sorry onegirl
but i have to agree too
this seems more like an attention grabbing stunt than someone who genuinely wants to clear debts or save
if we're all wrong then i sincerely wish you luck but from experience can tell you that the only way forward is to heed the advice people on here give and get off your butt, work more, spend less and make it happen0
