The amount of times at 2 AM on a Saturday morning I've had a burger from some bloke who I bet probably hasn't put his hand in bleach for an hour before he started work but thats never made me ill.

If I found a hair in a meal then I would just take it back and get a replacement.

If you want to make a fuss from trivial things then no, you won't like what I'll offer this thread.

Food poisioning is not a trivial matter ask a certain chocolate manufacturer.
You do not need to bleach your hands but follow basic guidelines.
Dirty fingernails area sign of poor personal hygiene in a foodhandler
Do not handle money when serving food

The thing about buying a burger at 2am after a night out is you will probably blame the beer for poor health. umm beer, men, toilet, dont wash hands, another beer, £2 change, buy a burger, £2 please, next customer, thats £2 change, eat burger yum yum

    What company runs the caf?

Tesco’s? Some are run by Eurest.

In which case Tescos would love to hear about a hygiene problem.

    Seriously this is ridiculous!!!

The OP complained and got two options, a replacement meal or a full refund. Why do people need to carry this on? In my book that is a suitable course of action by the girl. Why should she have to apologise to you and make you feel like the queen bee?!

These people are on minimum wage. Considering the conditions they probably work in i.e. long hours, short staff and by the sound of it rude customers, they really wont care what there appearance looks like or if their hygiene is of a high standard.

If you want good service, great hygiene and high quality food then maybe you should consider paying a little more and going to a proper restaurant.

Any one working in the food industry has to maintain a good standard of hygiene by law. It is not frivolous it can be a killer.

I think this may be a bit extreme for this thread. The girl had a bit of dirt under her fingernails not Anthrax

It's anything to blow something out of proportion on here. It's just for the sake of complaining.
