Afternoon all
We woke up to 3 inches of snow this morning & Katy was beside herself with excitment, she asked hubby to take some pics of her to send home, at least she kept her clothes on for the pics.
Went to DD1's yesterday, went to see a mortgage advisor & then back to DD's for tea, DD2, DGD, DGS & DS1 all came over too so it was quite a get together.
We had HM burgers during the GP, Katy is cooking jerk chicken for tonight, so I don't need to cook.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Hester

Hiya :hello:
Hugs and thoughts to Smoky
Catowen well done to your DS and his team on that great win!
What an appropriate title for today's thread as it's a Lazy sunday here today!
None of my horses won the National but I'm still £40 better off thanks to Quidco. The girls and I cuddled up on the couch last night and really enjoyed the start of the new Dr Who series.
we didn't make it to church this morning as unfortunately DD1 is still unwell and woke up at 3am asking for more medicine, which I gave her. Then at 4am she threw up in the bathroom and then slept through until 7am. She is absolutely shattered and is lying on the couch again. Her chest and throat are still sore so I'll be keeping her off school tomorrow and perhaps even Tuesday. I'm back at work on Wednesday so I'm hoping she'll be better by then.
DH arrived home from his trip to Leicester about an hour ago and is fixing the new rear lamp onto the car at the moment. I've stripped the beds and the wm and td is on. I've got a small pile of ironing to do so I'll do that while watching some afternoon tv. Tonight's tea will be sausages, bacon, eggs, beans and tomotates as I need to use up the bacon and eggs. I don't think DD1 will eat much though.
I've just ordered my groceries from Tescos which will be delivered tomorrow as I'll have to stay home with DD1. Although I managed to use a £5 coupon from the Tesco code thread and I've bought some BOGOFs so it should only come to about £45.
Right that's all from me. Have a good day!0 -
It's snowing!!! Well it can't make its mind up. It's snow, it's sleet, it's rain... Whatever it is, it's not laying and DH will still have to go for his sunday jog with his brother. Poor thing.

Hi all !
No snow (relief)...and OH just came in from his Sunday pint or several and reckons its quite warm............not enough to sit outside but warmer than it has been (can't say I've noticed it though!)
My son has had me delving into photo albums for him - he's doing a sort of modern day version of family history - so I've got to get them off to him so he can put it all on disk. Forgot how many photo albums I had and how I wish I'd kept them in some sort of order..............now there's a project forme...........lol as if I haven't got enough to do !!
Have a good day, stay warm and hugs (((((((((((:o )))))))))))to those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Awww
Thanks for all the nice comments re the photo...Yes Grannybroon, I did take it...OH and I went down to Devon for Christmas and spent most of Christmas Day on the beach at Westward Ho! We were just going for one last stroll along the beach before heading back to our cottage to cook Christmas dinner when these two ladies came galloping towards us on their horses - fortunately I had my camera in my hand and managed to snap them several times from different angles - this was the best of the lot and a very lucky shot!
I've been worrying a bit about giving a present like this in case people think I'm being cheap...I just wanted to give them something special that they will remember as I love them both to pieces
 at Churchmouse...my OH was offered a job in Barnstaple earlier this year (our big life plan at the moment is to move to North Devon in the next couple of years) and while we were considering the offer we had a look at some houses to rent - one was on the hill in Northam and the view from the main bedroom looked down to the beach and beyond...In the end we decided that this particular offer wasn't quite right for us - and I love my current job and don't want to leave quite yet, but I will remember that houseDFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -
Afternoon all.
Hope you are all having a lovely sunday.
We are back from ds3 semi final and they went out of the cup 5-2, they played well and battled to the end. Ds was really upset until we gave them new kit bags (which I had bought ready for getting knocked out or as a well done for getting through, Pat on back to me for being such a orgainised managers wife!!LOL) and dh promised his new boots next season can be embroided with his name!!! He can flipping pay for it!!!!
Just been to shops to stock up on fruit and bread, jacket pots for tea, with quorn and cottage cheese topping, im really getting into this diet thing now and finding loads of new things i like, such as quorn, dh prefers it to real meat!!!! So i know it cant be all bad. 3rd weight in tommorow night and hoping for my half stone sticker, only need a 1lb loss to acheive it and iv been really good all week..yes thats right no alchol or chocolate at all this week!!!!!!!!!!
Right off to cuddle up to dh on sofa and watch tv whilst the kids are all playing upstaires happly.
Take care

Just popped in to thank Arkonite for the snickerdoodle recipe!:T Just made a batch of the fruity ones and they are delish! I really don't think they are going to last long around here so I may be making up some more tomorrow!
Might try the 2nd recipe as well. I also made up a batch of oaty date slices for the first time so lots of things for Mr Catz's  pack ups.
Buffy - that photo is beautiful and because you took it I think your friends will love it and certainly wouldn't think you cheap but very thoughtful.
It is still very cold here but no snow, it has all melted. Dinner tonight is a nasi goreng to use up all the odds n ends in the fridge.

Hi asll - our snow disappeared but has just started again! It's not that cold, though, because there's now wind - I wonder if it will snow overnight!
I also want to thank Arkonite Babe for the snickerdoodle recipe - I made some this morning and they are going down very well. I must also thank you for your yoghurt cake recipe - I found it months ago and it has become a firm favourite in our house, in various flavour combinations!
I've been quite busy with the 'squares' thread - for those of you who don't know, we now have a Yahoo group http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wooligan/. Feel free to have a look and everyone is welcome to join. I don't know how it works yet; I only use Yahoo for work emails so I'm in the dark at the moment. Hopefully, it won't be long before the light goes on!
(((Hugs))) to all in need - hope everyone is having a great Sunday, with snow or without!
