  • Hi everyone! 1 step here, been very busy all week so haven't posted. can't believe how quickly this week went by!

I am doing shepherds pie for tea as well! Got some surveys to unsubscribe from, life is too short to spend 40 mins for 10p and I'm getting a little fed up with them!
We had a tiny bit of snow this morning but its gone now.

    Take care all,

    1 step

    I'm not short - I'm condensed awesome! :p

Hello everyone. I woke to a full covering of snow this morning but its rapidly dissappearing.Had to bring our guinea pigs in as they seemed a bit cold.(They are now snug and warm and hiding under the hay in their indoor hutch.) My kitchen currently looks like a mini farm as we already have a rabbit that lives indoors in an indoor hutch! Our tortoise woke the other day from hibernation but i bet it wishes it had waited a while longer with this weather.Lucky i have a very large kitchen so they are relegated to the other side. Not alot planned for the rest of the day but my children are back at school tomorrow so they will be getting last minute homework done for that!!(They have been lazy during the holidays )Loads of housework to do and i need to look for another dishwasher as mine broke this week:( I dont mind washing up but hate seeing the pile of washing on the side. Will see if there is any bargains on ebay.
    Have a good day everyone.x

    Morning, Wotcha and Hi.

Well, we've got white stuff here in Skipton, but only because I knocked a tub of bicarb over! Not a hint of snow when I got up.

DH is down at the allotment - coming up shortly i think because his drill battery must be about flat by now. I'm vaguely thinking I ought to get dressed before he lands up - sat watching telly in my nightie and dressing gown.

Need to do washing up and laundry today, and some hoovering too.

Have a good afternoon all, and hugs all around.

    Afternoon all,

Snow covering the garden at 4 am but all gone by 9...very cold, picked some rhubarb to have with yogurt for breakfast and almost froze during the few seconds it took to do that....combination was nice. Very cold still but sunny.

DD4 cooking dinner as she is having 3 friends over, so hope to be able to knit for the afternoon, one of the guests is bringing pudding so easy for all.

    Smoky...hugs to you and children

Hugs to all in need or want

Gore blimey - we're never gonna hear the last of it cos the southern softies have seen some snow!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Blimey, never heard that one before:rolleyes: :D:D

I have taken a photo of the garden under 3 inches of the stuff. Will email it to my son in Canada where they have REAL snow. It'll give him a good laugh as he looks out on the 3 feet or more of the stuff on his garden:rotfl: :rotfl: Not that he laughs when he has to clear the pavement within hours of a snowfall.( a legal requirement in Canada) Before Christmas, when they bought the house, it overlapped with their rental lease by a couple of weeks or so. He was shovelling 3 feet of snow from the front of two houses before work:eek:

Buffy, what a fantastic photo!!! I have so many memories of wonderful summer holidays at Westward Ho! We rented a house that backed onto the Burrows ( well one road up!) From the downstairs you could see Pebble Ridge, but from upstairs you had that magnificent vista of the beach.:D The kids adored it. Up, breakfast, dressed and on the burrows or beach within a half hour:rotfl:

    Afternoon everybody :hello:

I'm pleased to be home from church in such good time, as I was expecting to be delayed either by the Olympic torch relay or by the snow, but the buses were absolutely fine :T The snow was coming down quite hard when I went out this morning, and settled quite well on open green areas but is mostly gone now.

I have to go out again later, though I'd really rather not as I'm so tired. I was asked to go and sing at the church I sometimes sing Choral Evensong at. I said I would prefer not to, but was talked into it on the grounds that they would have no altos at all if I didn't go  so am off to Streatham later.

Must get the WM on - I realised this morning that I haven't put the clock forward (it's a washer-dryer and it has a timer - I set it before I went to bed last night to wash and dry a load so it would finish about when I got up this morning, and it took me a while to work out why it was still going on at almost 9am when I had told it to finish at 8 ) so must do that too. I also need to phone my friend about some tickets I have to book tomorrow.

    Love Rzl xx

    Good afternoon

Given weather forecast and having to get up early to put pork in the SC, decided I should be busy today getting organised before next week's return to work.

So far [strike]had shower; washed breakfast dishes; done ironing; had washing machine on; wash lunch dishes[/strike] Still in my dressing gown, not had shower and watching the GP! Nothing else has been done either! Not worth getting dressed now! Will be OS and do one big wash up at dinner time!

Martyn - glad you have posted - keep in here!

Tru - was it you with the stye? I have continual eye problems and use Brolene drops from the Chemist regularly. Once when I had a cyst the hospital advised me to get a bowl of boiling water, wooden spoon and a tea towel and hold hot tea towel wrapped over spoon as close to my eye as I could to draw it.

Weather here actually not too bad. We had a rather large snow shower this morning which didn't lie and now the sun is shining. Cold wind out there probably.

Lovely pictures. Buffy your horses on the beach is stunning - did you take it yourself.

    Hope babies and others OK.

Just off to check my tension and maybe do something energetic like knitting a square.

Love, hugs and thoughts to Smoky and family.

Love and hugs to the rest of you too.

Morning everyone! Well you can tell by that phrase that I've only just got up.

DH and I are watching the GP and cursing Alonso...

Not snowing here, but it did last night, cutting short the flute concert we went to watch. Unfortunately it didn't lay. Fortunately we all got home safely.

Hugs to Smokey, Martyn and anyone who needs one. Still thinking of you xxx

Haven't done a thing today, feeling a bit guilty but hey, it IS a sunday and I've no children to worry about... I think I'm either going to spend the day pampering myself (it's waxing time!), packing more stuff to move to new house, or just playing computer games.
