Gore blimey - we're never gonna hear the last of it cos the southern softies have seen some snow!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We all wondered what it was! You should have heard everyone here darn sarf 'What's that?', 'What's what?', 'That white stuff, that's what', 'White stuff, what white stuff? Oh, that white stuff, what's that?'. 'What's what?', 'That white stuff, what's that?'. 'Well, I don't know, perhaps there'll be something on the news or the internet about it'.

'They said it's snow!'. 'Nah, what, real real snow like what they get up norf?' 'Yes! What are we supposed to do with it? Is it dangerous? Will it be here forever?' 'I'm going outside to have a look.' 'Don't, don't - we don't know enough about it yet!'. 'No, I'm going out - I may be gone some time!!'

REDRUBY – I don’t know Stokenham but we love Kingsbridge! There’s a lovely registry office half way down a hill there and we went to a special wedding there 11 years or so ago; it was great because we all trooped from the registry office through the town in all our wedding finery, all laughing and giggling in brilliant sunshine, and ended up in the local park taking photos. One of the best weddings I have ever been to because they were two of our favourite people. It is a very special place because it was my DH’s brother’s wedding and, sadly, his lovely wife died four years later leaving him and a three year old son; they had moved up to Norfolk which is where she died but her ashes have been scattered over the park in Kingsbridge. I love that part of Devon so much. I don’t want to spoil your holiday with that story – it’s just that Kingsbridge is dear to my heart and you have made me think of all the good memories I have of a dear SIL. Oh, dear – I’d better move on.

Kathy what a sad story, but happy memories, we are off to kingsbridge tonight for fish and chips at 'The cod father' , will raise my cup of tea to your sil when there xx

Day two in the holiday house,

We are off to paighton today to go on the river / steam train cruise, then as I said fish and chips on the way home, :D , had a call from my mum this morning, its covered in snow there, not a bit here clear blue skys, its a shame really because my dd has not seen it setteled, and its typical it snows at home the week we are away. Will not mind too much if it snows here, just need to get some bits of food in, might try to find a supermarket today.

Hope you all have a good day and enjoy the snow.

Gin hope your baby gets better soon xx

Smokey hugs to you all xx

    Morning everyone :hello:

((((((hugs))))) for Smokybabes, Benthosboy and anyone else who is in need of one.

Well, weather here is extremely stormy, it's trying to rain/sleet/snow at the moment but can't seem to decide what to do
BM is on for a loaf to go in the oven later, I seem to be getting better results this way. Later if it calms down, I will go into town to buy more baskets for the new built in wardrobe. DH discovered yesterday to his disgust, that the collapsible crates we bought to put clothes in were scoring the woodwork on the shelves. Neither of us thought about that :doh:So now I'm going to have to look for canvas type storage that will hopefully fit.

Tea later is a lasagne I made yesterday with HM wedges and I might make a garlic calzone, if I can be bothered to put the BM on again. :rotfl:

Right I'm off to catch up on all the other bits and bobs on here, will be back to read up on how everyone else is doing. Also more :coffee: needed, firstly as a handwarmer it's so cold and secondly I'm not quite with it yet ;)
  • Buffy, that's a stunning photo.

BM is on, I've had my weekly chat with my mother and now I'm settling down with another coffee to hem the jacket I've been making. The snow is almost all gone now, although OH did make an impressive snow kitty on the lawn which is still crouching looking at the birdies on the bird table :D

Well I was wrong about no snow - but we've had so little that I only noticed it when I went out to the car and saw the tiny spattering still left on the bonnet and windscreen. Just spent a small fortune on cat food - not economical at all but I'd thought OH could get some from PAH yesterday on his way past but it turned out he wasn't going past - my fault, I should have asked him to go friday. Oh well. I did get a loaf at half price and custard tarts reduced (from 55p to 41p so not a huge bargain but any excuse to buy custard tarts for me).

Buffy - beautiful photo, its a lovely idea for a photo. As for Doctor Who I think i know which bit you mean but the surprise had already been spoiled for me. Still enjoyed it.
Mioliere - thanks for the larf!!!

  • Morning all :j

Didn't get up till 11am this morn, but was sooooo tried, I really needed the lie in :o

Lazytown live was good yesterday, I enjoyed it eventhough the kids didn't  DS5 moaned through it saying he is too old for Lazytown now  and DS4 was sooo tired from walking round he was nearly falling asleep :rotfl:Would definately recommend though if you have small kids, show was really good.

Not much planned for today, no snow down here and quite sunny so load in washing machine to hang out to dry in a bit. Kids back to school tomorrow so will need to get uniforms and bags ready today. Dinner at Mum's today so no need to worry about cooking.

Off to have a shower, hugs to all

    Hi :D

DD's were out by 7.30 making snowmen ..sun came out and the snow is now disappearing very quickly (just one mini-snowman left :( ) ... blue skies have lasted a couple of hours but the darkest grey clouds are overhead at the moment so I'm expecting a pour down.

Washing's nearly all put away and a bit of work done this morning. Went to church and it was really quiet .. think the cold weather has put lots of people off. It was a lovely service though and they talked a lot about debt which was interesting. I felt like standing and shouting 'MONEYSAVINGEXPERT.COM' but resisted the urge :D

Really feel like going back to bed but might see if DD's will settle in front of a film and let me doze in front of it for an hour before I start lunch.. you never know :)

    xx

Well we've got the white stuff at last but it's not really laying much thank goodnesss. My Dd who lives about 3 miles away is panicking as it's about 2 ins there .How silly it's only a bit of snow for goodness sake hardly worth getting steamed up about. I live about a mile from the Medway river so it's not likely to lay much near moving water anyway.
it won't stop me from going out this afternoon anyway. We have a full roast beef dinner to go to .Take care all
