    Help Please

So dialing out from viopbuster withe the number of 01454****** nowt happens appart from invalid number code 9, I have been trying all sorts off calculations i.e +44******, 0044******, does anybody know what im doing wrong.

Also on sipgate my number is 01454****** what number should be entered in the sip proxy settings, and what number should I phone to my PC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  • I have been putting all my (UK) numbers in the form 0044 and then the number without the zero.

can you post a made up example of that please

    +442890111111 also works fine.

Are you putting in the area code? You seem to be 2 digits short in your examples. For Belfast this is 28 (usually 028 without the country code)

In voipbuster (not xlite) the format would be +441454******. If you mean voipbuster via xlite it would #0100441454**** (assuming you had set voipbuster as number 1 proxy).

Sipgate - remove the first 4 digits of your number and enter this as your username AND authorisation number for sipgate proxy. To phone your pc (once configured) simply dial the full number (assuming your are in the UK 01454******, if you live in area code 01454*** you don't need to dial the area code). This is exactly as you would dial any standard landline.

    Makes no differnece...

All you do is put in your settings and run xlite. EASY :D
Worked for me first time and didnt even need to port forward the router ;)

Try dialling 0044 in front of the "1" part of the area code. See if that gets through

    Please recap (YES OR NO):

    1. You have obtained a free Sipgate telephone number
    2. You have installed xlite and configured it to SIPGATE as the default proxy(NOT voipbuster)
    3. Do you have firewall software running
    4. Are you using Windowws XP (if not what operating system)
5 When you ring the Sipgate number the line is dead and your PC doesn't recognise an incoming call
6 Have you set up Sipgate voicemail (available from web portal)
