Evening all.
Well, I didn't win anything on the Grand National. but at least I have my quidco earnings.
Had Pork Pie and Peas for tea - yum!! we were meant to be having the leftovers from last nights leek and tatie soup, but i called into the butchers while I was in town earlier. Glad I did, it was delicious.
DH has just gone to do the washing up he's a good 'un sometimes. Having said that, he's only gone to do it now because I used the last bowls and plates with tea because he's let it pile up. Ah well...
Have a good evening all,
MethererNot heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.

Evening All
My horse came 7th! Congats to those who won something.
Have done nothing on my list today! Have had unexpected guests and forgot I needed to go to the farm shop to stock up on veg.
However I have cleaned my oven today which is never a nice job. Will do the hob & the outside tomorrow.
Really enjoyed Dr Who. Think will get the meat for tomorrow out of the freezer and have a nice soak in the bath.

Hello again,
Just popped back on quickly to say DSs team WON 6 - 1, and DS scored 2 goals!!!! Hes playing in defence at the moment, so very proud that he is scoring goals as well!!! This means they are second in the league, and will be collecting their runners up medal at Plymouth Guild Hall in a special evening, so very nice (and posh!!!)
Unfortunatly, the mighty Plymouth arnt that mighty, and lost 2 - 1 so not so good there.
But DD is very happy as her horse came second (had my friend and her children shouting at the tv apparently, urging him on!!!) i had also bet on Slim Pickings, so we put £8 in bets on, and got £9.50 back, so a profit of £1.50!!!
Unfortunatly, Simons jockey fell off, and Philson Run fell over but never mind, they were ok which is the main thing. Very sad that the One Shows horse suffered an injury (he didnt fall, but something obviously went wrong) and was put down, its the part of the race i really hate.
Whilst we were out, my friends husband and friend popped over and (hopefully) have mended my DW, so will be testing it later, so fingers crossed it works!! (they found a match!!! in the pump, which is prob why it wasnt getting rid of the water!).
Ok, going to watch the rest of Harry Hills tv burp, and will be having an early night and a lie in tomorrow (well 8, which is a big lie in for me!!) cant wait!!
Have a great evening, take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Good OS day today. Not spent any money but have looked at kitchen-y things aplenty.
We are re-doing the kitchen after 26 years, so looking at new flooring. What a choice there is. When the house was built we had a choice of yellow, red or grey lino tiles!!!!
So yes we are replacing the 'orrible yellow tiles at long last. Never liked them in the first place!0 -
Well done to all the winners in the National!!!
I came a respectable third with the OH getting 4th.
Only wish id had them each way instead of to win!!!!!
Received a nice voucher from Wilkinsons today after writing to them after being overcharged - they can do it again if they do that every time!!0 -
Hello everyone
the dr who exhibition was ..... well dull - unless you are dd(11) or dnephew(15) - my arm has been pretty much wrenched off from being constantly grabbed to "look at the (insert obscure sounding monsterish name here) - that's from series 3 episode 5 scene whatever - you know the one where the..... " We had gone for her and my dnephew who love dr who. Unfortunately dnephew who is autistic pretty much fixated on the light at the end of the tunnel i.e. the gift shop and wanted to get through everything quickly so as to get there while dd (11) has to read every single thing and fill in all the back story for us. It was a brilliant day though with a couple of pub and chat stops along the way. We got back in at 6.19 - phew just in time for the new series but poor dbro's family were still stuck on their train.
Had left exoh with the job of painting dd's bedroom with her chosen colours which he has bought at great expence - decided HE didn't like them - too girly - and has persuaded her to go for funky lime greens and reds instead - so glad I bought her that pink patchwork quilt to go with the original colours. Anyway i have a fair bit of free lilacy-pinky paint for free - the entire contents of her room are in my room and the living room and all her clothes have been inexplicably put in a huge cardboard box instead of being simply left in the drawers so that should make packing for our holiday loads of fun.
Have a good evening allI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
