    Hello all !

Managed to hoover this morning and then had visit from an ex foster girl with her three year old son ! Into everything and I don't have anything for that age group to play with........spent my whole morning drawing daft pictures with him................lol
They've just gone, I cleared up the bits and pieces......cats decided it was safe to come home and just had phone call from ex foster lad - he and his girlfriend plus their dog are popping up. He's doing some work in the garden for me. Cue for cats to leave home again due to canine visitor...............lol
Picked my horse for the Grand National.........literally stuck a pin in the paper and came up with 'Knowhere' ! Probably where the horse will end up knowing my luck but OH is putting £1 each way on for me..............well you never know...............lol

Hope you all have a good day..............keep warm, Going to be a cold weekend and hugs ((((((((((((:o )))))))))))) to those who need them

Hi, not been on the daily for a while, so it's nice to be back. So far today I've put two lots of washing in, made a loaf in the BM, tidied the bathroom, put washing on the clothes maids, made breakfast and lunch for the family, made plastic out of milk and white vinegar with DS (don't ask)!! and cleared a space in the kitchen to make a bread recipe from my new book - Dough by Richard Bertinet. Hopefully (fingers crossed) I'm making fougasse to have with HM spag bol later. DH has just taken the kids and their friends to the local park for a walk , that means I get an hour's peace to let the bread rise and have a sit down with a cup of tea. And to think Saturday is my day off!!

    Hi :hello:

Smoky I can't begin to imagine what you are going through at the moment but you sound like you are doing a brilliant job. It's great that your family are there to love and support you in so many practical ways too. Have you and your children been offered bereavement counselling? I'm not sure where you go to get this but I was listening to a program on Radio4 last week and they were interviewing children who were having it and were really benefiting from it.

Catowen Hope DS's team win and good luck on the National! :D

I was woken up at 4.45am this morning by DD1 as she had a really high temperature. So I dosed her with calpol and nurofen and chucked a cold flannel on her head and she slept through until 9.30am. Unfortunately DD2 is now also lying on the couch, so it looks like she's caught the bug too.

DH has gone to his friend's 50th birthday party in Leicester so he'll be back tomorrow. It will be a quiet day in for me and the 2 ill girls today. The wm is on and I've got 5 horses in the National. I used Betfair, going through Quidco placing a £10 bet and getting £50 back, so a free bet and I get £40 cashback! If I win you'll hear me shouting! :j
    Have a good day! :D

    Hi everyone
Aussie - how could you, good job I had had my lunch!
Busy morning, DH (with a little guidance) has, put a tea bread loaf in the BM, made a Lemon Drizzle cake, and Amie's Brownies. Just been good and had a salad lunch, back to the d$mn paperwork.
Smoky - glad to see your post yesterday, it is totally understandable that you feel lost, and probably that your right arm isn't there. Please put some lovely piccies of Eric up when you had good times, rather than think of the last visit to the hospital, I know it is hard I have had to do it with Mum in Law, Mum and now Dad with dementia.
I bought DH a electric photoframe thingy for Xmas and have been going through older photos giving a really different display, DS each school photo, and happy holiday ones, M&D with & M&Dinlaw with DS, it makes us remember the event and smile.
Csarina, Amie and any others MIA.
OK back to it, I will be ready for Monday evening.
    (((hugs)))

    Hello all
Good to see all the National choices. Mine is Butler's Cabin. All 6 of us have one each - DS and oldest DSS have not rung with their choice so we have gone with their ages- 21 and 16 - can't remember their horses names. Oooh the excitement.

Been out to MrT for shopping and was horrified at the spend being £62 speechless-smiley-040.gif. However, OH accompanied me and £14 was on a box of wine and about £20 on a new razor and blades then some more on man sprayrolleyes.gif . Luckily they don't come out of the lovely grocery challenge budget! I bought a few tins of different types of beans as I am toying with going veggie again. I don't actually do well on it to be honest and am still on one a day iron but do watch my iron intake. Maybe I'll just eat the occasional red meat meal and do vegetarian the rest of the time. Not sure yet.
((((hugs)))) to smoky and family. Thinking of you very much.

    Hello again

Well today has been a bit busier than I thought. I now have a lovely new microwave and it is installed in it's cupboard. Took the old one to the skip and a very nice guy who works there took it out of the boot and put it in the correct skip. Methinks a call to the Council (who I work for too!) on Monday to say how helpful and friendly their operatives are at this new amenity site. I always think it is nice to give praise where praise is due.

Spent a bit more on the microwave than some of you would think OS but having had a working Panasonic for 18 years went for a new Panasonic (£99.95). However it is the size I want, is not too complicated to operate and is a non-combination one.

Also bought new bath mat/pedestal set. The rubberised backing on my other ones starting to go despite washing at correct temp and drying carefully. Dunelm Mill had some non-rubberised ones in the right shade but I am not keen on the shaggy pile look.

DH off to watch footie and I might have a wee nod!

Martyn - hope you are having a better day today and that you had a better sleep last night.

Sorry to hear about various broken bones, bugs, etc.

    Take care.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello:Hello!

Just popped in to say sorry I haven't been around, after a stressful time around here my cfs/me symptoms kicked in so I had to go rest up big time:o feeling lots better now though! More importantly my friend is also doing well but we take nothing for granted and will never forget that we nearly lost her, very difficult to escape the guilt that she felt so neglected by all who truly love her, definately lessons to be learned from that - let those you love know it even if you have to shout it out!;)

Catowen - Mr Catz  is a lot better thanks, he is able to eat fairly normally though is slower than me now! still needs his groovy shades when out and about and has now been diagnosed with post viral fatigue so will be taking it easy and going back to work for 4 hours a day only! Luckily we recognised the signs and have been making sure he rests. He has been very lucky indeed with the bells palsy receding so soon as we are aware that this is often not the case!

We are having to be very careful when out with Penny now as she has hit her first season! It certainly livened up a friends arthritic and elderly lab yesterday!:rotfl: :eek:I guess that means she is now an adolescent, hope she doesn't get too stroppy then! we have to make a decision soon on getting her spayed I think!

We still haven't heard from the hospital regarding results of dd's mri scan 3 weeks ago but hope that is good as surely if it wasn't we would have heard by now!

Smokey - ((((hugs)))) to you and your little ones

((((hugs)))) and :hello: to the hussys, Ivyleaf, Jayward, Hilstep, benthosboy and all who could use one!

    Right back to the knitting!

    Catz x
