    Good morning!:hello: :hello: :hello:

It was sunny when I woke up, but the clouds are coming across now. Such a shame, we've got a wedding at our church this afternoon and I suspect the poor bride and bridesmaids will be freezing! What a day to choose - Grand National day and the start of the new Doctor Who! :D Four of us from our little choir are singing at the wedding, as the bride and groom are worried that the guests won't sing. I don't mind, I've no objection to earning £10 for singing (in this particular case) only two hymns!

Mrs Flittersnoop - your choir sounds great fun, I love the idea of singing in a different church while their own choir has a break. Our choir is very small these days, several people moved away, left due to ill-health, or (in the case of some of the older ones) died, and we now have no men at all, so we usually have to make do with singing in unison, unaccompanied most of the time:rolleyes:

    Catowen :hello:

    Churchmouse :hello:

    AussieLass :hello:

    Shez :hello:

Mioliere - your brooch sounds lovely

smoky - huge ((((HUGS)))) to you and the children.

Martyn - hope you slept better.

Nicola - Congratulations on your lovely son! It's nice to see you back.

Csarina - just in case you see this - we really miss you. Please consider coming back.

Will have to go and get dressed in a minute, I don't want to do last night's washing up in my dressing gown in case the sleeves dangle into the sink:p

I really need to try to clear the dining table, it's a real "hot spot" but there seems to be nowhere else to put most of the junk that's on it. Well, I say "junk" but it isn't. My sewing machine's there because I don't want to put it on the floor, then there are things like new light bulbs, including some DH ordered specially for me because they're "Daylight" ones which help me see better - I'm not sure why he ordered four at once, perhaps they were on offer or something, but they came in chunky boxes with polystyrene packaging.... There are also a big pack of Chupa Chups (bought in case we got loads of kids at the door on Hallowe'en, but we didn't), a box of fuses:confused: , a torch (why? ), a small basket of clothespegs, 2 small bottles of wine (I tell myself they're for cooking with :D :A ) , 3 ceramic angel fish , still wrapped, which we bought in Malta in October to hang on the wall in the hall, a pretty plaque (ditto), one of the straps we put round our suitcases to make them easier to pick out on the baggage carousel....You get the picture..... oh and today there's also a bag of onions, which we bought yesterday but which won't fit into the fridge atm!

Oh well, best go and have brekkie and undo some of the chaos. Hope everyone has a good day, and good luck to those playing footie or having a flutter on the National.

    Best wishes

    Good Morning All :hello:

    ((((Hugs)))) where needed, especially Smokey.

Didnt get on at all yesterday we we made the most of the warm weather, walk on the beach in the morning then as the sea was flat we decided to get the jet ski & go out on it (I sat on the beach) so that was a couple of hours. Then in the evening went for a walk along the sea wall.

Is lovely and sunny here at the moment but when you go outside its freezing.

DS is at footie at the mom, when he comes home will be having a big fry up then think will give the kitchen a good clean. Have some ironing to do and also want to clean the bathrooms.

Need to spend some time on here later as want to go through the gardening threads, we will definately be growing runners and toms this year but might be adventerous (sp) and go for marrows, carrots and lettuces. We are really new to this and dont know what we are doing at all. Also most of it will have to be in containers if thats possible.

Anyway far too much waffling, feeling quite energetic at the mo due to the sunshine & some very strong coffee.

    Have a great Saturday.

Good Luck Catowen on your bets, weve gone for Chelsea Harbour as we are true blue fans here.

    Morning all

Smokey, thankyou for posting, hope your GP can offer something to help you sleep.

Still no sign of Katy going away, if she want's a lift to the station she better get a shift on I'm going out at 12:30. I did try to explain to her last night that the words she used in her all staff email were not appropriate, but she's convinced her telling off was because she got the boys name wrong.

I'm going out with DD to see a mortgage advisor today & I'm hoping to pop into New Look as I still haven't spent my mothers day voucher yet.

Hubby's organising his day around the GP, there are 2 cans of beer in the fridge & rolls (HM) in the bread bin & burgers (HM) in the freezer, life is grand when he has a few weeks work lined up.

    Have a good day
    Hugs Hester

    Morning all.

First up, hugs to anyone who wants/needs them.

DH is making me a bacon and egg butty for breakfast - somehow I don't think I'll be telling the dietician about that one! We see her again on Monday.

Lazy day planned really. Need to get some washing done, and want to draw up a plan for the back yard/ Have decided we're going to get it sorted this summer. We've never really made use of it because there was no privacy. So, new tall fence panels me thinks.

Made use of the quidco betfair offer last night. Have £2 bets on five horses, spread throughout the odds, so wish me luck! at least if I don't win anything I have still made £40. Let me know if you win anything.

Hope you all have a good day,

    Metherer

    Goodmorning everyone,

Bit later for me today but I've just got home from Mass, had tea & done dishes. Haven't done anything too exciting today. Oh yes, got the ironing finished. Printed out a few recipes & did my spending diary from yesterday. It always amazes me how much it adds up to and I shop wisely.

Nothing on the telly tonight as usual. Why do they think we are all anal over sport I'll never know. Just because we are so good at it :D is no excuse.

Cat & CM I hope Simon wins. :D
ivyleaf Enjoy the wedding and I didn't know you could sing. You & Rzl should have had a duet. ;)
MrsMix Hope you & DD shake off the cold and enjoy the holidays.
7th day Of Tired Mum's holiday - bit of an improvement from yesterday, at least he covered up his back. :D

<hugs> to all those down especially Smoky. Byeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning all

((((((hugs)))))) to all who are in need of one.

I'm not sure what I'm up to today, so far I'm not long out of bed and still bleary eyed as I type so think I need more :coffee: before I can get my brain in gear.

Think possibly I will be up to my ears in laundry and helping DH get our new built in wardrobe finished (I hope) .

Will check back on everyone later, hope you all have a good day :)
