Good morning
Not too many folk up and about this morning. Thought I would have a quick shot on the puter before DH starts tapping away. He reckons his project could take another week!
Off to buy a new microwave today. My existing one is an ancient Panasonic and definitely needs replaced.
Have a good weekend one and all.
Love and hugs to Smoky and family. Your sister and BIL sound wonderful and I am sure will be a great support.
Love and hugs to everyone else too.

Morning all
Hugs to those in need.
I'm lying in bed with the lappy - how decadent am I!! More a case of - if I get up - I'll have to do something - So I let DH bring me tea in bed
We're off to inlaws new house today to give them a hand - they moved in yesterday and said it's heaving, so I shall go armed with my stardrops and vinegar. Going to pop into their town centre first so that DD's and DH can go choose a house warming pressie, whilst I pop into supercuts and get my hair chopped.....it's now beyond shoulder length and I'm so fed up with it......very MS though as I've not had it cut in over a year.....although I think the amount of extra shampoo and conditioner I've used negates the cutting costs.
OS wise, not planned anything for dinner tonight as Inlaws said something about taking us out for lunch :j . Need to have a quick swish and swipe of the kitchen before we go out and sort the washing that's on the airers.
Hope we do get some snow tomorrow - would be lovely to have some proper wintery stuff, I do feel a bit let down by the seasons now....it's just not on, all this global warming stuff!
Hope you all have a great weekend."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
the weather here is nice at the moment so i shall put the washing out shortly.
I don`t know how i`m staying awake as i`ve only had 3 hours sleep for some reason, i just could not nod off.
Smoky - i hope you start to get some sleep soon, it sounds like your family are really supportive and that is what you all need right now. Hugs to you and the little ones.
Chrisca50 - i went through quidco and joined betfair for the £50 cash back, i put £10 into the account then bet it to get the cashback and it tracked almost immediately, i paid with a debit card after reading that cc cost money to use in most cases and that paypal wouldn`t track.
Todays dinner will now be the tuna fishcakes that i thought we were having yesterday, i had to change the menu yesterday as i found eggs in the fridge that needed using up. I`m off to find something for breakfast.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning to all from a (currently) overcast Eastbourne...
((((((hugs)))))))) smokey; I can only echo what others have said - and in time the good memories will come through again. On a practical note, and my apologies if it's not relevant as I don't know all your circumstances, but if you do not work & are now claiming Child Tax Credits, then your children should be entitled to free school meals. Wasn't sure about PM'ing you but I'm sure one of the others may point this out if they think it's useful for you.
Martyn - how you doing.....?? (sorry, I've got pictures of Joey from Friends in my head now, saying said phrase...)
Hope those with snuffles/aches/broken bones are on the mend, and those with or applying for new jobs are enjoying them too
Out tonight, and then away house-sitting in Kent from early tomorrow morning till Tuesday evening, so I foresee a day of running around today. Oldest DD wants me to take her into town so she can hand in job application form for a Saturday job (she is 16 in 10 days time!) and middle DD wants taking back to the hotel she's just done a week's work experience in, as they have asked her to go & collect tips due from yesterday. She's got about £35 in 3 days already..!! The coffees will be on her I think
May get the BM on for some granary bread to take away with me I think. Meantime, got some letters to type for the office as well..
Have a good day all, catch up later.
Edit: Pooky - so am I...!! In fact, I often am! lolLive your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -

SMOKEY hugs to you. Your children will get you through this because they need you so much. After my DSS died I had sleeping tablets for 3 months, they helped me cope with the day. So glad your family are helping you.
HUGS to anyone else who wants one.
Plan today to carry on cleaning, have some ironing to do, also DS homework. Need to do an internet shop as well for when we get back. Really do need to get a grip of my finances when we return from holiday, have been spending far too much recently  .
Welcome to our new posters.
Off to dye my hair, oh the joy of going grey!
Have a good day all.

Good morning everyone :hello:
(((smoky))) - it's great that your family are there to support you. I know what you mean about the cost of school meals, being a teacher.
Our April weekends are very busy. For 3 of them, we're going to London and this one is the first of 3. The main reason for our trip this weekend is to go to the "Opportunities New Zealand" expo as we're contemplating emigrating out there. However, we're staying with my friend in East Dulwich tonight before going to the expo tomorrow. On our way there, we'll be popping into Borough Market for a mooch around - if mooch and Borough Market can ever go together on a Saturday. Tonight, as my friend's Christmas present, we're treating them to a meal using Tesco clubcard deals vouchers. We know how to live, don't we? :rotfl:
I'll have to go and begin to get sorted.

morning all,
Day one (said in a big brother style) of holiday cottage, looks a bit overcast out there, have not been out yet, but its not raining, we plan to go to a local farm shop today, to stock up, need something for tea tonight, and tomorrow, and then we are going to head for the beach have a look round and fly the kites, OH and I really got into kites last year, we have several huge ones that almost lift you off the ground, its great fun, and excellent excercise it really works on your arms and tummy. DD has got into kiting this year and its free
Smokey thank you for taking the time to post yesterday, its good you are getting lots of help, hugs to you all xx
Martyn, let us know how you are xx
Cat, good luck for your ds today, hope they win xx
whatatwit enjoy your day xx
beemuzed, I always have a quick look on here first thing with my cuppa, then turn it off till my jobs are done, I can then have as much guilt free time as I like xx
Mr taplady, hope your back gets better x
Pooky have a good day cleaning someone elses house
Hugs to all xx
PS dont forget Dr who tonight xx0 -
Morning all.
Had a busy week but it's now 2 weeks Spring holidays so it's all worth it.
Going to pop to town as soon as I can to pick up a prescription and a birthday card for my Nan. It's a big one for her this year and I have no inspiration on the making side for her at least, so I'll buy one. It's the Farmers Market today so it's going to be busy, and it was quite strange seeing our town on the news this morning (parking cpzs)... ah well.
When I get back I'm going to do a bit of Ebaying and just down right relaxing, plus will make a tray bake and then it's HM pizza and salad for dinner tonight, yummy. Oh, and a chocolate face mask!
Hugs to those who need/want
