No-one criticised you on this thread, they just said your experience of Asda is unusual - as normally Tesco is better as they have 100% coupon policy (in stores that follow it).
I have found my local Asda a pain as many stores think internet coupons are photocopies, whereas most Tesco stores seem to know what they are now.
By the way Coupon-mad, i love the signature, its so truthful!Pigsback- 250pp (11.50 claimed) Ipoints- 200
Toluna- 16 615 (Need 60000 for Sainsbury's voucher) Lightspeed- 110 points (aiming for a W H miths or BHS 10.00 voucher)

No problems in my local Tesco today. Fair play to them if they do introduce a new policy but it will reduce the amount that I spend at Tesco.
I make a special journey to Tesco to do the 'big shopping' as my local supermarket is a Morrisons and doesn't accept coupons. They even scrutinise their own Morrisons coupons as though you're trying to pay with a used nappy!

I went to tesco today armed with several coupons, the till operater keyed some in and gave the rest back, i asked why they werent used and she said they only accept max of 5 coupons if u do nott buy the product!! not heard that one before and have used loads more there before, couldnt be bothered to argue with her as there was a queue, but has anyone else had this??
There seems to be no definate policy??? Think i may email the store tomorrow and ask what their policy is, then take a printed copy next time i go?/
thing is had i known she was gonna do this i would have handed over the five highest value ones, but didnt get given the option!!!0 -
If they change their [policy I'll defo go elsewhere. Their prices have rocketed. Their own brand yoghurts 6 pack have gone from 68p to 98p ion 6 months, their jars of pasta sauce have gone up from 52 to 73p in the last month and their brown rice has gone from 75p to £1.09! brown pasta has gone from 49p to 70p. Their 3 for £3 cheeses are now £1.50 each and no longer multiby. Everything has rocketed. I mean you expect a penny or two here and there but most things have gone up by 20 to 30% which is ridiculousI can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0

I agree, Dee. We notice the same things!
Another example is their four-packs of baking potatoes which were 55p in January, now they are something like 74p. Also bread & milk have gone up by a similar percentage.
I am just so glad I pay about 95% in coupons rather than real cash...
If they change the policy I would go wherever would take the coupons, be it Asda, Waitrose or whoever had the policy at the time.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes same here!
I do try and stock up when things are half price or bogof. Things that have long expiry dates, I mean, or things I can freeze.
We don't have a waitrose sadly. We have 3 asdas but they're very much hit and miss. Now and again you can find a willing cashier and I always target the young daft looking lads LOL but I only go there if we're passing to try my luck!I can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0 -
DS just started working at Tesco and told me policy is :
To use a Tesco coupon for a Tesco product must buy product
Non Tesco product can use if the store stock the product but limited if you have more than one of the same coupon E G 2 coupons= buy one product , 3 coupons = 2 products
No limit on amount or value of non Tesco product coupons if Tesco stock the product if all are for different items
Save £X when you spend XXXX valid from other supermarkets
Do not accept interent coupons
Do not accept competitor coupons for other products
This policy was trained to new staff within the last few weeks0 -

I am really fed up today went into my local Tesco (Ricoh Cov) and was made to feel like a shoplifter, I had about £30 of shopping and lots of coupons totalling about £20 I have used this sort of percentage before in there with no problems - the SA called the supervisor who came over and was really nasty, they now aparantly take 1 coupon per item, so I had bought 9 products could use 9 coupons, they wouldn't take DM book voucher or Marie Claire - both of whcih I have used in that store before. She did however take the couponnet ones and told SA that if they had a blue strip on they were okay.miss-piggin :j Mum of 2 wonderful girls and a gorgeous little man.DFW Halifax£2330 Tesco£2576 Virgin£3238 Little£5468 Asda£242 Barc£240 Catalogue£1600 Halifax1£2k Halifax2£250 [STRIKE]Capital£100 Picture£53k GE Mo £30k.
