Selling my house - was expecting an offer today??

How long does it take (did it take) for your EA to update the price once you called to drop it? We called today to drop the price from £149,950 to £141,950 and I was just wandering when could it appear on rightmove...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

From what I can remember.....
Thanks Kizzy, Common, Snooze & Italia for your kind comments.
I guess I am a bit immature as I'm only 25 and I thought that if you wanted to move you put your house up for sale if it was nice (like mine) it sold within a week and you got the house you wanted. I didn't even think about it not selling and me finding somewhere I wanted and that selling to someone else!! I know now how nieve I have been.
Kizzy, your positives and some of your negatives about your house are the same as mine. Weird, hey!! Thanks for being kind to me.
Common, thinking about it you are right we don't need to move at all its just a want. I need to chillax as my husband thinks I'm a physco as I keep going on about it all the time. I have to admit that I'm turning into a phsco b*tch from hell over the whole thing!! I will try and just act like we aren't even selling.... who am I kidding as soon as I get a call to say I have a viewing I will run around the house all excited do a roley poley and tell my husband I have a good feeling about the viewing and I think we have defo sold!!
I am really going to try and forget about selling the house though, I'm going to go down the pub tonight with my friends!!
Thanks everyone xx
No probs!
BTW, you're not immature expecting it to sell in a week - its just that maybe you are thinking about the situation as it was 18 months or even a year ago. Those days are behind us, I suspect for quite a long time to come.
There's nothing wrong with wanting to move for having a nice house, the important thing is to be realistic, take that chilled out view and it'll happen when it happens. My only advice now would be to ease off viewing places until you have a buyer, keeping seeing those 'dream' houses will only add to your frustration.
Anyway, good luck and keep smiling!

Thanks Everyone, you are right I'm just going to try and chill out a bit.
Ginvzt, we rang on Monday morning and it took 48 hours for rightmove to show the change on Wednesday mid morning. I think it was about 24 hours after the EA website showed the change. Good luck with selling yours.

Well, we rang yesterday. The EA's website doesn't show the change yet... I hope they'll at least put it in the window this weekend. Struday is a market day in town and lots of people pass EA's window...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

Good luck with selling your house.
I am trying not to sulk as not only has next door sold, but the house across the street that only came on the market about ten days ago is now sporting a "Sold" sign!
As it is £100,000 more than ours, can only hope it will make ours look like a bargain!"This site is addictive!"

I hope ours will look like a bargain too, as exactly the same house as ours 50m away is on for £154,950. And we droped our price for £141,950... I know which one I would rather have. And we are inthe end, there is no traffic by (public pathway in front and on the side, and car parking place at the back). And our garden is bigger!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

Hi there, glad you are taking a bit of "time out" good luck to the others on here that are trying to sell too.
Is this your first property Oswestry? I know when we sold our flat within 2 weeks in 1999, all those years ago, nearly wetting myself & ringing everyone I knew when the man came to change the for sale sign to SOLD so I wouldn't blame you at all for doing roley poleys!
If it is your first, expect it to be stressful, I think it's supposed to be one of the three most stressful things, along with divorce & death:rotfl:( if you continue being a Phsyco b*tch you may get to experience one of the other two also:eek:

thanks kizzy you just made me LOL. It most certainly is my first time selling. Buyers get it easy!! The last couple of days I have found myself checking rightmove about 10 times a dat to see if anything like mine has sold. It there has been a sale I'm like !!!!!! that has sold and not mine!! How can this be!!! I'm thinking of writing a book entitled diary of a physco seller.0

Oh well, our EA did it again. We asked when will it updated on Rightmove and they said - Friday after 7pm. Ok, there is still the old house price on rightmove and on their website, but when on rightmove you clock for full brochure it shows the new price!!!!! So, if someone is looking at our house they will be thoroughly confused as the house price on rightmove AND EA's website is X ad on the brochure is Y!!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
