    BBQ sauce:

    25g marge
two medium onions, chopped and softened in the marge.
Add one table spoon tomato sauce (or tom puree but prefer tom sauce)
Add one table spoon demarara sugar (not the same with other sugar)
Add one table spoon vinegar and one tablespoon Worcester sauce.
Add approx 3 fluid ounces water

    Simmer for 15 mins.

Love this with boiled Gammon. ;)

Edit: this is not the same as the BBQ sauce in a squeezy bottle, not as spicey and much more tomato-ish ;)

i mix together 2 tablespoons of tomato ketchup, 2 teaspoons of soy sauce, a teaspoon of BBQ seasoning (tescos do a lovely one for between 50p and a pound, OL), a teaspoon of honey or half a teaspoon of sugar, and whisk. I've also added seed mustard but OH didn't like that. All measurements are approx by the way, feel free to adjust and addabittathis-abittathat (i do)..

I don't know where this came from, it was given to me years ago by a friend who had got it from another friend etc, but here goes:

fry a chopped onion in a little oil till soft, then add 6 tablespoons tomato ketchup, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 tablespoon vinegar and 2 tablespoons worcester sauce. Cook on a low heat for about 10 mins.

The quantities can be adjusted to taste. It is easy, cheap, everyone seems to like it, and the recipe has been passed on loads of time and people can personalise it to exactly how they want it (ie you could add a red or green pepper with the onion, etc). See what you think!

Sounds very similar to the one I posted above.... ;)

Must have come from a similar source - mine came from my mum who got the recipe years ago from my Uncle. ;)

chicken wings would be a prime candidate for coke chicken in the slow cooker - the sauce it makes has a BBQ sauce -esque feeling to it.

Got any cranberry sauce left over from christmas?

Half cranberry sauce and equal quantities of sweet chilli sauce makes a lovely bbq type marinade/sauce.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
