It's a few years since I've eaten in one now, and that was on one of their lunchtime specials where you could eat as much as you like (salad/pasta) plus a glass of wine for £4.95 but I did enjoy it and the food was good with a pleasant atmosphere.
I don't know if they set a national standard, or whether individual restaurants do their own thing, but based on my own experience I would recommend them"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

We've been a few times and really enjoyed it. The food is really tasty and you can see the chefs preparing it as the kitchen is open plan. I would recommend it too. Here I go again on my own....0

I've been to the one in Ashford, Kent about 4 times now. Everytime we've had to send at least one meal back and on the last occassion we walked out in disgust.
I did write a letter of complaint and they sent us a meal voucher for the same place.......yeah right - like i'm ever going back there!!!!

i absolutly adore frankie and bennys, i'd eat their food everyday if i could afford it. we actually went there for the first time since having my baby, and my god, i forgot how good it is. I don't actually eat alot but when i go there i eat all 3 courses, although i could just sit there and eat the garlic bread with cheese all day. I am now going to go sit in the corner and reminise about my meal.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

I have collected some chicken wings and want to make a barbecue sauce to go with these, but try as I might, I can't find a recipe that would be suitable for these.
